The Age of Apocalypse

It all started when Professor Xavier's son went back in time to kill Magneto, and thus better the life of mutants in the present. When the unfathomable happened, and Xavier was killed instead, not only were mutants everywhere affected, but the entire planet. For without Xaviier's formation of the X-Men, there was no one to stop Apocalypse from claiming North America as his own, and enslaving all those who opposed him.

This play by e-mail game is set in tandem with the events in Marvel Comic's "Age of Apocalypse." We will tell a tale of what happened behind the scenes, using characters not used in the comics, to show that the "Apocalyptic" ending of the series may not have been the result of the actions of the characters as shown in the comics, but of ours!

The Marvel Universe holds a vast number of characters whose story was not told in the comics. What part did the other heroes and villains play in the grand scheme of events. Where were heroes like Captain America, Power Man, and Iron Fist. What did the other Avengers like Henry Pym, Black Panther, and Wonder Man do during this time. What about the members of the New Warriors and more independant heroes like the Punisher, and Ghost Rider. And of course, in times of war people once considered villains may be come heroes. Men like The Mandarin, Abomination, and the Sandman, along with the villains who are part of the Thunderbolts and Wrecking Crew.
