Multiverse. Here thousands of magic-users, apprentices and unassigned students

At Dragon Tower, we have a wide variety of original player races available, as
well as a magic-system created by the GM.
Other than that, members are permitted to create their own races and otherwise
contribute to the game and the world it is set in, we are also accepting races
from a published book, TV series, movie, comic etc.. if you have a good reason
for including it in the game.
Oh, and while I remember it, we have a proper villain comming up-- which may
lead to some interesting things happening.

A Paradise Lost

It has been three months since Thread made its unexpected return in
the wake of Glaber's Comet. Three months since Murtrem Mining Hold was
devoured by unchecked Thread, all but a dozen of residents perishing
along with their wooden buildings. Three months since the waters of
Paradise River Hold ran red in the horrific moments before two brave
greenriders could raise the alarm that Thread had returned.

For over 700 Turns, since the end of the ninth (and thought to be
last) Pass, Pern had enjoyed a return to the Paradise that the
original colonists had at first experienced. But just like the eighth
Turn after Landing, 3295AL is proving to be a most deadly Turn for an
ill-prepared world. While some people are still in denial, refusing to
believe the reports, others are gripped with terror, slashing and
burning anything remotely green or woodsy within dragonlengths of
their dwellings.

With the Northern Hemisphere now awakening to Spring, one can only
hope for the best while preparing for worst. Are you up to the
challenge?

Small in the grand scheme of things in our version of Pern, Rocky
Crater Weyrhold -- http://www.rockycrater.org -- is located in the
middle of the Eastern Ring Islands. We are an approved, full-post club
set 740+ Turns after the events in the "Skies of Pern", or 3295 Turns
after Landing ("Dragon's Dawn"). While we do have AIVAS-tech, this is
far from a high-tech society: 1800s New England or Industrialized
Europe are fair comparisons. Content rating is PG-13 on the main list,
and NC-17 on a membership-optional mature content list. Canon-wise, we
tend to follow book canon closely (women only on greens and golds, for
example) while still giving writers more leeway than some "strict
canon" clubs typically allow.

Lurkers are more than welcome.

We are also willing to discuss helping potential members transfer
beloved storylines from a old, and perhaps now closed, club into Rocky
Crater -- several of our current storylines began this way.

Moving to another window, he drew a bead on the dandy
fellows horse, but before he could squeeze off a shot,
a round caught him in the shoulder, spinning him

The year is 3017 in the third age of Middle Earth.    The elves
forged nineteen rings of power, each beset with a jewel; five were
given to the dwarves in their halls of stone, nine were given to
human kings, and three were saved for the leaders of the elves.
Sauron, the Dark Lord, forged another ring of gold in the fires of
Mount Doom, binding it to the others, to control them and their
wearers. The Elves grew wise to Sauron's trick and hid their rings
away. The dwarves proved resistant to Sauron's power and only the
nine kings of man succumbed to his control. They became shadows of
their former selves, the Nazgul, servants of Sauron's will.  Elves
and men banded together in a great war, surging into Mordor and
fighting Sauron back until he was killed by Isildur   Isildur kept
the ring for himself, but it was lost on his journey home.

found the ruins of an ancient city.  They crew discovered a subterranean
star map.  When they initialized communication with the colonies to tell
them about the discovery, they encountered interference.  Quickly they
initialized the fold drive, but a Cylon patrol took them by surprise.  After
a heated battle and defeat of the cylons the Dionysus limped home.  When
they arrived, they found their worlds scorched.

Do you remember the good old days?  Where life was simple and not
complicated?  When all we had to worry about were the Klingons,
Romulans, and the occasional bad guy.

Return with us to the good old days of 2267 aboard the constitution
class starship USS Exeter!

This sim is played in a new easier format than a listerv.  We use a
blog (weblog) and email.  Posting is simple by blogging; all new
posts are emailed automatically and formated on-the-fly.

This format also makes it easier to play with less people, so we plan
on being around awhile.  However, the more players the merrier.

The year is 2267.  47 years ago thousands of citizens of the
Federation, who felt that the hostilities with the Klingons was
unnecessary, migrated to distant parts of unexplored space. From 2220
to 2245 some of these wayward souls decided to enter the Armens
Expanse. The Armens Expanse was named after professor Walter Armens
who explored the area in 2195. He made first contact with the Sheliak
and was warned of the Forbidden Expanse.  Of course Armens felt
exploration of this large unclaimed territory was a risk worth
taking.  Two weeks into exploration he disappeared. Thus the expanse
was named after professor Walter Armens.

The Federation colonists who journeyed into this region felt the
stories of the Armens Expanse would keep the Federation away. Yet the
Federation had enough problems and basically forgot about them until
2255. The Sheliak began invading human colonies near their borders in
2254. Unable to defend themselves some of the colonists asked for
Federation Mediation. In 2255, on the newly built Space Station K-6,
the Treaty of Armens was signed. At this time trade between Space
Station K-6 and the colonies started.

Twelve years have passed and slowly trade diminished. The Federation
has assigned the USS Exeter, a Constitution class starship, to
revitalize contact with the colonies and thoroughly explore the
Expanse.

Description: The RPG 'A Time of Chaos' is based on the universe
created within the Anita Blake books written by Laurell K. Hamilton
(it is strictly AB, not MG). Set in New Orleans, A Time of Chaos has
only original characters, with an active bunch of players.

There's no minimum age to join this RPG- all posts are rated by the
author based on content. Rating begin at G rating and travel all the
way up to an NC-17 rating. It is left up to the individual player to
decide for themselves what they're able/want to read, although it is
suggested that minors do not read sexually explicit posts.

We'd love to have creative, innovative players who know how to use
past tense and the basic conventions of english grammar correctly.

Fleet Simulations, a hub for creativity, independence,

Alpha Fleet Simulations is a Star Trek RPG fleet that
has been active and operational since April 2002 and
has been steadily growing since that date. Composed of
9 active simulations and 3 that are under
constuction/on hiatus, Alpha Fleet is a group that is
welcome to all. The fleet staff works openly with its
members to ensure that all involved are enjoying
themselves, however, unlike some fleets, they do not
attempt to manage everything. We operate by the belief
that the people are sovereign, where the people that
make up the fleet have the ultimate choice, promoting
independence, character development, and creativity
among the members of our fleet. We also feel that no
member should be left behind, that everyone should be
able to participate in the adventure. A dedicated
command council stands ready at all times to answer
questions and help our members through problems.
Anyone and everyone are welcome to join in on our
adventures.

Currently Alpha Fleet has several openings that we are
interested in filling. The available positions will
provide any potential member with a fun challenge and
the opportunity to be creative with their storylines
and have a direct part in the story. We are currently
made up of four active task forces. The First, the
Independent operations division, contains the Fleet
flagship and command base. Our second Task Force,
Rapid Response Division, boldly responds to any
problems in the galaxy and tries to resolve them. Task
Force 03, the Exploration Operations Division,
continues to boldly go where none have gone before.
Finally Task Force 04, Easy Company, carries out the
true Starfleet Ideal, defending the Federation and
continuing the exploration of our galaxy.

welcome any opinions that anyone may have so please

For eons, the Nexus have been a place where people and creatures from any
imaginable world have suddenly found themselves trapped. Brought there by means
no-one have been capable of figuring out, they find themselves hunted down and
killed one after another by a the being in control of this world, or one of the
numerous creatures who serve it.
And in groups or alone, those who have been taken to the Nexus World try to
escape their silent hunter through the varied terrain of the world, or within
the abadoned buildings which can be found there. But there are no differences
between the
strong and the weak, the wise and the idiot, there are no escaping the Hunter.

Any characters, from movies, TV, Comics or made up are welcome. Just keep in
mind that this RPG have no rules at all (except the minimum of common sense),
and that the List Owner will be playing the Hunter.

This RPG is a role-playing group that starts around season 5 of Buffy.
In this RPG, Buffy will start out single but flirting with both Spike
and Angel. Angel comes back from L.A. after a year or two because he
has come to terms with his feelings about Buffy that he will always
love her and why be apart from her if he can help it? Spike is
developing feelings for her as well, just like he did in the seasons.

All characters from Buffy (past and present) are welcome. All others
just make sure to okay it with owner or mod, as well as new made up
characters. Be advised that to be in the group you have to post at
least 2 times a week to keep the scenes going. Come and get your fav
character while you can!

"Dai Nihon..." The natives mutter. 'Great Japan.'

1593CE, a period where change is sweeping over the island of Honshu,
Japan does not seem so 'Great'. Toyotomi Hideyoshi, of the all-
powerful Oda shogunate, has instituted taxes, and is in the middle
of a one-year-old invasion of Korea, where Japanese forces have move
up the peninsula to engage the Chinese forces of Ming. Word across
the land is that the invasion is turning sour, and Hideyoshi is in
negotiations with Ming.

The introduction of guns half a century before, and their use in
battle had completely changed the face of combat in the country. In
1585, Hideyoshi ruled that no farmers should have weapons of any
sort in the 'Great Sword Hunt', and they were ordered to hand in
their weapons or face the possibility of attack. In 1591, the 'Edict
on Changing Status' stated that all warriors who had returned to
village life should be expelled so that no warrior worked the lands,
also no villager could become a townsperson or trader, and finally
that the hiring of warriors who deserted their lords was completely
forbidden. Hideyoshi had ensured he would remain Shogun.

In the Hakone Mountains, a village remains of these
forbidden 'Samurai of the Land'. The deserted their Hojo lords in
1590, and moved into this small, enclosed village. They live as
ordinary villagers, but are always prepared to pick up their weapons
to protect it. They forwent the sacrificing of their lives to their
Hojo lords, and now they disobey the ruler of all of Japan. Their
position is unknown, however, and they rarely reveal their past to
outsiders, however they chose to train the villagers whenever
possible, and store weapons for the direst of times.

However, the arrival of Kusukabe Shinbo has thrown a new future into
their laps. They have a chance to become righteous, warriors, and
legends... and the prospect is open to all.

Dai Nihon is a free-form, play-by-e-mail game set in late 16th
Century Japan. In the first stage of play, you can become a
villager, train to be a warrior, and look ahead to serving with the
infamous bandit, taking from the rich and corrupt, and handing
wealth to the villagers in the countryside.

This game follows on from one course of events from Star Wars:
Knights of the Old Republic, which in turn is set 4000 years before
the events seen in the movies, although any player with a basic
knowledge of Star Wars and a desire to learn would be able to fit
in. A small team of unconventional warriors has been assembled to
destroy the Sith threat throughout the Galaxy. This unofficial unit
of the Galactic Republic Navy is lead by a very small number of
Jedi, but is comprised mainly of bounty hunters, smugglers, traders,
and former Republic soldiers, all siding with the Republic in its
stand against the Sith. Join the ranks of the Merah'Trall and help
free the Galaxy of the the vile enemy.
