The Orion Border... only parsecs away from Klingon and Romulan space, home to
pirates and illegal arms traders. Pirates slip into Federation space unchecked,
and without worry of being caught. It is the blackest corner of Federation
territory, where evil deeds are committed, and where criminals hide from their
captors.

After receiving numerous reports of criminal activity along the Orion Border,
Starfleet Command knows it has to do something to stop the atrocities being
committed. It turns to one ship it knows it can trust, the USS Vastitude, a
Soverign Class vessel in its prime and glory. Commanded by a captain and a fresh
young crew, the Vastitude has but one mission, to restore order to chaos.

Tests and trials will be around every turn, every encounter will be something
new and thrilling, dangerous or even deadly. The crew will need to rely on each
other to survive... they will rely on... you! Are you up for the challenge? Will
you give your all for your ship and it's crew? Let's hope so... for all our
sakes.

The USS Vastitude is a Play-by-Email simulation situated after the Dominion War,
the simulation is one of Epsilon Fleet's most veteran simulation and has been
running without stop since June 1999.
