Some of you may already know, but I just want to put it out there. Cathy is
having a big 40K Tournament that has been in the works for 7 months.
Unfortunately she wont have room for us to play Saturday night. So, if you guys
still want to play, someone is going to have to offer up their home. If I play,
I will probably be a little late.

Here we go! Its almost Regional time. There is only about a month left before
the MD Regional tournament. Please, if you're serious about going, get the date
locked in. Clear it with your boss (if you work on Saturdays) and your wife
(shes probably your other boss). Last year in PA, we introduced the Star Wars
Miniatures world to Northern VA by sending 2 people to the playoffs and having
one of our own win the tournament. They know who we are. And now we need to
show them how we roll.

With that in mind, we need to take one Saturday, sometime in April, to shore up
our squads. Kris and I plan on getting together around noon, and testing our
squads out against some of the squads that we are likely to see in MD (OR
Bastila, Nom Bomb or JH, Double IG Lancers, etc.) We look at this as a workshop
where we can streamline our squads. Kris and I will probably be playing all
day. If you can't spend the whole day playing minis, then come over when you
can. You should still be able to get a couple of games in. We will come up
with a date and location soon and let everyone know.

By the way, who all is planning on going to MD on the 30th?

I'm down for the Saturday squad testing, just let me know which Saturday in
April. I plan on going to both Regionals this year, but we still need to decide
who is going to be the judge for ours. Also, let me know if there's any
resolution on ordering those figures from knight models for prize support.

Sincerely,
Ian

We need to hold off on the Knight Models for the VA Regional. I don't know if
we can afford them yet. I need to speak to Cathy again. I want to find out
exactly what she wants in return for us using her store to host the tournament.
Unfortunately with Target and the internet selling boosters so cheap, she'll be
hard pressed to sell anything, but possibly singles (if that), to these guys. I
don't want to take advantage of her generosity. She should get something out of
this. I think we should see how cheaply we can get a case of MotF and a case of
Dark Times to add to the prize support. Then we also need to try to get a
better idea of how many people we can expect. If, after all of that, I still
feel like we have enough for the Knight Models, then I'll make that decision. I
know they are coming from Europe, and it make take some time for them to get
here, but I'll try to make a decision about this within the next couple of
weeks.

Saturday April 16 at K'Kris' (wow, that looks like a Klingon name) house from
noon to whenever Teresa wants to kick us out!! He said that families are
welcome, so bring your wife/girlfriend and kids if you want.

This is 2 weeks before the MD Regional Tournament. The plan is to spend the day
building, play testing, rebuilding, and more play testing our squads. We'll
also have some other squads that we think we will be seeing at regionals to test
against. Everyone is welcome, however please reply to this email if you plan on
attending so Klingon Kris knows how many people to expect. Hope to see you all
there.

Alright guys,
Come prepared to play this Saturday!
We're starting at noon. We're gonna do drinks and snacks for the most part, so
bring your favorites. We'll order pizza around 6ish, and Roy might be making a
dessert for us. I'll be putting together some "meta" squads, as will Ian, and
we'll be testing against whatever you want. I'm pretty much done testing my
squad so I'll be playing "meta" squads for the most part. So think about what
you want to test against. See you all on Saturday!

I shall be in attendance. Hope you all like deviled eggs.

Got some news to share with you all. I am in the process of changing jobs, and
my new one will be having me do son mandatory trainning on the weekend of the MD
Regional. So I will not be able to go to MD. I will, however, be going to our
Regional in May. Roy already knows this, so by default he will be the Judge/TO.

Since I will not be going to MD, I will be playing mostly the "meta squads"
against your squads to be tested. Anyways, I'll be seeing all of you on
Saturday. Cheers!

Sincerely,
Ian

I'm sure by now most of you know that the 1st annual VA Regional will be held at
the Game Vault in Fredericksburg on Saturday. Registration starts at 10am and
the tournament starts at 11am. If you are going to play, please be there early
so we can get started on time. There is some really great prize support lined
up aside from the normal boosters. If you have any questions, send me a text or
reply here.

SWMGamers.com will be releasing the 2nd virtual set, Renegades and Rogues and
the mini set, Battle of Theed, in August at Gencon. Since I don't know yet if
I'll be going to Gencon yet, Ian will be the pointman. He will pick up the
cards and bring them back here. Two things I should tell you about. First, if
you want a set, you need to let Ian know. He has to have the final numbers in
by July 1. Second, they are still trying to raise money to print the cards. So
if you can, please go to swmgamers.com and donate. I know that Ian and I have
donated, but I don't know who else has. If you have not donated, you aren't
guaranteed to get a set. So please donate if you can.

But the important thing is to let Ian know if you want a set. I don't know if
you should trust this group as the best way to get in contact with him. You
should call him, or PM him on bloomilk or swmgamers.

Yup tell me about it man, if you need any advice let me know bro.  The courts are still pretty biased against men and their children.  They still think we can't take care of them, etc as good as a woman. That and Virginias rediculous "common wealth" state laws.  Fuck that shit.  We will always save a spot at the table for you man when you are ready.

OK.  I don't like playing games with immature people.  So since the owner of this group has so much anger towards me, I will be leaving this group and starting a new group to keep everyone informed as to what is going on with Star Wars Miniatures.  I have done everything that I could with this group since its inception.  Much more than the current owner of this group has ever done.  But as you can see in the email below that I just received about an hour ago, the owner has decided to exercise his power to show me that he is in control.  And you know what, he is.  The man who hasn't played this game in over a year has decided that the man who brought an official Regional Tournament to Northern VA in 2011, doesn't deserve to a place in this group.  So I will leave.  I don't think that this post will be up for long, before it gets deleted.  But luckily, I know that everyone on the group receives these messages via email.  So if it gets deleted, I know it will at least make it to your email.  I will still be around, and still be involved in this game.  In fact, Kris and I will be heading to Charlotte on Friday for their regional tournament.  I'll also be letting you guys know whats going on with the new virtual sets over on the new WAMPA's group.  I'll be sending emails to everyone in this group who has played in the last year.  If you don't get an email from me in the next hour, let me know and I'll send you an invite.  I'm sorry it has to be this way, but I'm tired of playing immature games with immature people.  So I will be leaving.  This will be my last post, and I then I will be removing myself from the group.

See you all soon,
Roy

Yeah that's exactly why I did it!  Whatever the fuck ever.  Maybe you should have asked me personally why.  Now you'll never know.

I make you a member rather than moderator so you quit.  Yet I am the immature one.

In closing I'll be the bigger more mature person and say:

Nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey..........good bye!

Would love to see something Fett Related.  Perhaps something to grace all the empty spots on my walls.

Roy

The V-Set is cards only. Each card has a recommended mini to use for it. They
don't like to say it, but most of them are stat updates for the older now
over-costed figures. The V-Set is made by the SWMGamers community. So no
plastic, just cardboard. Hope that clears it up :)
