BACKGROUND/HISTORY/ETC: Sandra was born to Dr. Reginald Marsden and his wife
Amanda in Cairo in 1900.
They lived in Egypt until Sandra was 10, when her mother died of fever. She
and her father moved to England then. She has pursued an academic life, and
has gone on to slowly excel in the area of Egyptology, having a natural
advantage in the field. She is currently on probationary tenure at the
British Museum, hoping to secure both her doctorate in archaeology and a
permanent post at the museum within a year or two.
