NOTE
This game is based on X-Men:Evolution only in history. We get our
inspiration form the comic series, namely Ultimate X-Men. This game
focuses on storytelling and development. We have a plotline in place
that, while it is rock solid, it allows for a great deal of
development by the players.

The Infamous Hellfire club's activities have always been very
secretive. Worshipping a strange Phoenix god, their activites are
always shady. Recently they have taken interest in Charles Xavier's
little school and one of his former students in particular. Jean
Grey has the ability to hold this mystical entity known as the
phoenix force. The Hellfire club will stop at nothing to make Jean
Grey the avitar of their ancient and powerful god. They have
recently aligned themselves with an ancient evil. Known only as the
Master, this evil is a vampire with epic power and ability.

Buffy Summers has somehow regained he slayer abilities and has
followed clues to New York City where she can only guess what evil
lurks. There, along with old firends Angel and Willow, she learns of
the X-Men and of the Hellfire club's sinister plans. Some of the
famed Scooby Gang or Angel Investigations, have developed mutant
abilities.

As with anything the X-Men try to accomplish, Magneto's Brotherhood
of Mutants will do anything to stand in the X-Men's way of achieving
a peace between humanity and mutantkind. While they no nothing of
the Hellfire Club or it's actions, they will be greatly affected by
the success of the Hellfire Club and they may have to work alongside
the X-Men to stop the coming of a god.

Who exactly is the Hellfire Club and why are they working with
vampires?

2 weeks after the showdown in the alley, the Angel Investigations
team is healing, readying themselves for the next wave of what would
surely be an ongoing apocalypse. They still couldn't quite believe
they'd managed to beat even a portion of the attack, and they fully
expect to find themselves dead when the next one arrives.

To their surprise, the invasion consisted of only one person: Lilah
Morgan. She walked into the hotel and took a seat at Cordelia's desk
like she belonged there, explaining that she had been retained to
look after all interests of the new Circle of the Black Thorn. When
the AI team protested that the Circle had been done away with, her
only response was, "Not every member. Isn't that true, Angel?"

She then proceeded to explain: as the only surviving member of the
Black Thorn, Angel was automatically elevated to its leader, with
the full power to choose whoever he wanted for admission. The power
that would be at his command was unlimited, with no constraints such
as had existed at Wolfram & Hart. The Circle had been formed by the
hellgods, made up of their most trusted and powerful acolytes, and
as such, was older even than the Senior Partners, with full immunity
from their wrath. Therefore, the war could not proceed so long as
Angel remained a member of the Black Thorn.

Spike was adamantly opposed to the notion of reinstating the Circle,
calling Angel crazy for even considering it. After several days of
yelling at each other, one evening when Angel came downstairs, Spike
and Illyria were both gone, leaving no note or any explanation
behind. Although no one said so, they were all more than a little
relieved to have the ex-god and snarky vampire out of their hair.
Without much delay, they settled into their places in the Black
Thorn-Angel as the head, Wesley as his lieutenant and Gunn as the
enforcer of the code.

What no one in LA knew was why Spike had left so suddenly. He had
gotten a call from Lorne, who told him a story that cemented his
misgivings about Angel's plans. The demon had explained Angel's
order to take Lindsey out "by any means necessary" and his own
inability to carry it out. He had taken Lindsey to Kansas, where
they had formed a new Paranormal Investigations unit. Spike was
infuriated by the news of Angel's betrayal, so decided to leave
before he was next on the list. He packed his clothes after he hung
up the phone and headed for the car, where he found Illyria waiting
for him. She stated plainly her intention to go with him and as he
could see nothing better for her to do around LA, he agreed.

After a year of everyone going their own way, the Scoobies agreed
that by and large, they were bored. It had been nice to have the
normal life they always craved, but without the challenge of a
Hellmouth, they were at loose ends. Giles decided to relocate the
Watchers' Headquarters to Cleveland, and Willow, Xander, Dawn and
Buffy all joined him. Willow became his second-in-command, and no
one could say who was more surprised when sparks began to fly
between the two of them, Will's old high school crush deepening into
something rare and special beneath Giles' calm understanding. Xander
has discovered that life may hold something for him yet, as the
Slayer's sister has certainly filled out in the last year, and Buffy
has begun an internet correspondence with a demon hunter in a nearby
state, the emails that were at first nothing but business beginning
to be lightly flirtatious.

Meanwhile, there has been a strange development in LA. As Angel
spends more and more time with Lilah preparing the new Circle,
Wesley begins to have strange dreams, in which he could almost
believe that Fred is trying to talk to him. What none of the AI team
could have known was that with Illyria out of the city, Fred's
spirit has been freed from its prison. But she has found herself in
a hell that saddens her, as she tries desperately to communicate
with her boys and keep them from walking down the path that she
fears holds only tragedy...

When the battle was over and the smoke had cleared an injured Angel
looked around at the battlefield. He saw Illyria lying dead in the
street...taken down by the demon horde. Gunn and Spike were no where
to be seen and so he assumed that he was the only one to survive the
battle. He returned to the Hyperion not knowing that Illyria's death
had set Fred's soul free and that her ghost had returned to the
Hyperion.

Almost a week had past with Fred keeping her existence hidden from
Angel....watching over him as he grieved and brooded over the deaths
of those he'd lost in the last few
years.....Doyle.....Darla......Cordelia.....Wesley....and even her.
And now he believed that he'd lost Gunn and Spike as well that he
was alone.

Meanwhile after the battle Gunn had made it to the hospital where
they kept him for a week to make sure that he was alright. Once he
was released he returned to his old crew. A week came and went and
one night when they were returning from the hunt they found Cordelia
Chase standing in their home. After Gunn recovered from the shock of
seeing her again, he was so happy to see her that he went over to
her and started hugging her. The Powers had sent her back into this
world....back with the visions. Gunn told her about the battle and
that afterwards he hadn't seen a sign of the others. The two held a
memorial service in honor of Wesley, Angel, Spike, and even Illyria.
Cordelia became a part of Gunn's crew....going out each night with
them to kill vampires and when she had a vision and they went to
stop it from happening or kill the thing she had seen in them.

Then one night when Fred was to lost in her own thoughts to have the
presence of mind to fade away Angel caught sight of her out in the
garden. From that night on he made it his mission to find a way to
get Fred back...for her to be corporeal again. He visited every
shaman, witch, and wizard he could find for a month until finally he
found one who knew a spell that would give Fred form again. Luckily
for him it was a friend of an old friend of his and it was done as a
favor to him.

During the month that passed Cordelia and Gunn grew closer and began
dating. Often going to the movies or out dancing or to the beach.
Though there were the parties the crew threw after hunting as well.
And in typical Gunn fashion he became protective of his girl even
though he knew she could kick ass which often lead to empty teasing
threats of turning him into a rat or something.

Another month came and went, in that month Angel had fallen in love
with Fred who had managed to persuade him to open Angel
Investigations again to honor their fallen friends even though it
was only her and Angel there now. Having learned his lesson about
keeping his feelings for a woman he loved a secret after everything
that had happened with Cordelia. He took Fred out into the garden
one night and told her how he felt about her and was happy and
relieved to learn she loved him too.

One night while out on the hunt Cordelia and Gunn found an old Angel
Investigations card lying near a pay phone and decided for old times
sake to go back and visit the Hyperion even though they believed
that Angel and the others were dead.

I'm thinking that since it's two months after the big battle they'd
all start making their way back to the Hyperion to reminise about
old times and they find out they are all except for Wesley still
alive or back from the dead. The Senior Partners might be working to
reconstruct their LA branch and get back to making Angel's unlife a
living hell.

"And yet, somehow, I just can't seem to care."

The panicked screams of the trapped lawyers rang in his mind all the
way out of town. Angel drove with no real destination in mind; he
just knew that whatever else he did, he couldn't stay there. His
crew wouldn't understand when they found out what he'd done. They'd
look at him with wary eyes and keep their distance even more than
usual.

Who had he been trying to kid? He was a vampire; he didn't belong
with the humans. First Darla and then Spike had tried to tell him
that, but he'd refused to listen. Spike... A slow smile spread
across his lips and he turned the car north, heading for Sunnydale
and his errant childe.

In the disastrous aftermath of his non-date with Buffy, Spike slunk
back to his crypt, determined to drink himself into a stupor. Maybe
then he wouldn't have to think about golden hair and big hazel eyes
and a warmth that would never be his. A figure stirred in the
shadows, whispering a name that he hadn't answered to in a hundred
years. Large hands caught his head, holding him a tender prisoner
while cool lips met his own. That night, Spike left Sunnydale at his
sire's side, pausing only long enough to drop a letter in the
mailbox for Dawn.

Lindsey McDonald emerged from the wreckage of Wolfram & Hart's
Special Projects Division a shaken man. Instead of going home, he
went to the office, packed his desk up and walked over to the
Hyperion. Angel might not think him worthy of redemption, but he
could no longer continue to sell his soul little by little. He had
to do something, take a stand, even if it would cost him his life.
He was met at the door by an angry Charles Gunn and a distrustful
Cordelia Chase. Ten minutes before Lindsey's arrival, Lilah had
walked into the hotel and offered Wesley his old job, which he
immediately accepted.

Gunn blamed Lindsey for the loss of his friends, refusing to listen
when the lawyer asked to join the team. As a test of his will, Gunn
agreed to take him on-provided Lindsey clear out a nest of vampires
single-handedly. To his surprise, Lindsey agreed and set out to do
the job. When the sun rose, he staggered back into the hotel,
covered in his own blood from a wide array of slashes and bite
wounds, the dust of the slain vampires silent testimony to the fact
that he had gotten the job done.

Cordelia ran to help him, but Gunn got there first. Throughout
Lindsey's recuperation, the other man would let no one else near
him, holding his own stubborn pride accountable for almost killing
Lindsey. The two men grew close, dubious acquaintances becoming
first wary friends and then one night, flaring to something more.

Buffy left the warehouse that night, appalled at the idea that Spike
could want anything to do with her, disgusted at his thinking she
would ever be interested in him. She went to Willow and poured her
distaste out along with her frustration at being unable to know what
her heart truly wanted. That night, the witch cast a spell, freeing
her friend's heart from all restraints, opening her eyes to the love
she craved... which Buffy found in Dawn!

The spell was hurriedly removed once the effect was brought to
light, but its effects are lingering: Buffy continued to pursue
Dawn, while Tara left, telling Willow that her use of magic was
unresponsible. Riley, finding himself alone and in the cold once
more, has begun to spend time with Willow, and a friendship has
bloomed, although both have begun to feel sparks that are more than
just friendly...
