Well, I just found out about this group and I'd love to get some LA
going. I live an hour north of Miami but am willing to travel there
for games if someone hosts. I've played virtually everything from
before Origins and much of what has come after. My primary PC is
16th level but I have others from 1 to 5.
Odds are I met at least some of you at The Summoning or the Orlando
area cons.
I certainly hope we can keep this group going!
One request...if the owner/moderator could please ban the spammers
and delete their messages from the group, that would be a plus.
If you want to, you have the option of setting membership privileges
so that new members' posts are moderated, which would prevent future
spamming.

Well even if you're not looking for love, and just a bit of fun thought I'd give
you all a tip. So you can stay away from all the bullcrap fake profiles places
this is what I've been using http://www.matchsearcher.info/wvrm . No joke, I've
messaged about 5 women nearby to me and already 3 have responded, and I am
already organising to meet up with one. Not bad for a guy who hasn't had a date
in a while, lol!
Well I just got engaged! Can't believe it, just last year I was beginning to
think I'd never meet someone. I'm already 25 and I thought it was all over.
After some recommendations from a friend I joined up here:
http://www.loveatfirstclick.info/bvex and after 2 weeks I was already meeting up
with a beauty. Well, 12 months later and where still together and planning our
marriage for later this year =)
Thought I should pass on my knowledge to all you guys (and gals) on here. I know
like heaps of men I am pretty shy when it comes to going up to someone. I've
tried a few different places (clubs, bars, etc) but never seem to have too much
luck. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I joined up to http://www.pickuponline.info/hymhx
and I have to say I am already getting excited. I was beginning to think I'd end
up being alone for ever, but already been talking to a few interestedladies on
there. Anyway, if you're like me it comes highly recommended!
Well as I said before I was joining an internet matching site. Anyway, after around 2 weeks I've been playing around on there talking to cuties on their cams. So over the weeks I sent a few of the hotties near me messages and after a bit of chat I have two dinners lined up for next week. I am a bit nervous since I haven't been out with a lady in a while, but I'm honestly looking forward to it. Anyway, I'll keep you guys informed on how it works out for me. And for the rest of you having trouble pulling a chick in the 'real world' check it out:
http://www.camactionindex.com/zcda/
Honestly, guys and girls check this stuff out. Awesome hangout, and I've managed to score a date this year from it :). Have been talking to two other ladies on there as well on their cams, so even if this one doesn't work out I'll pursue some others until I meet my match. Anyway, just thought I'd share, considering I am sure their are plenty of lonely fella's and even ladies in here!
Damn, I was beginning to think that this would never happen. I'm 27 already and until 6 months ago I didn't even have a girlfriend, and hadn't had one for at least 2 years. Anyhow I got a tip from a friend to visit this site here http//www.datebywebcam.com/lc/ around 7 months ago. Just started up to have a bit of fun talking to girls on cam and such, but after meeting a few girls and hitting it off with one of them a short six months later I got down on bended knee and she said yes :). So guys or gals, honestly, if your looking for some fun, or something serious check this stuff out, works a charm. They also have a backup of the site here: http//www.datebywebcam.com/ko/

Don't forget that this Friday is the Cthulhu Live game, Berlin Black.
If you've forgotten the synopsis for the adventure, here it is again...
Berlin in the summer of 1945 is a city of ghosts, a vast, spreading necropolis of shattered rubble, tortured fingers of steel and masonry clawing at gray, smoky skies. Emaciated specters roam the ruins of the once-proud city, bundled in rags and searching for valuables, food or remains of their lost loved ones. Armed Soviet, American, British and French troops patrol their respective control zones of Berlin. These are four seperate kingdoms within the ruined city, each reigned over by its own military governor. The arrival of the Allies in July came as a welcome change for the city suffering under the ruthless heel of the Soviet troops extracting their revenge for the war. The establishment of the occupation zones a month and a half ago was followed by a concerted effort to clean up the war damage, restore some sense of order, and provide for the starving citizens. The first skirmishes of the Cold War have begun as the Western Allies and the Soviet juggernaut jockey for power and control of the ruins and resources of the former Third Reich.
In the back streets of the Schoeneberg district, just off Winterfeldplatz, is a freshly painted red door in the bullet-pocked wall. Behind it lies "Die Insel", a small, private night club and cabaret. A strange island of music, booze and physical comfort in war-wracked Berlin, Die Insel is an illegal club under the current regulations of the Inter-Allied Control Council, but the governor of the American Military Sector has turned a blind eye. Too much valuable intelligence is collected and under-the-table business conducted at Die Insel to close the operation down. Powerful men of the occupying forces and the black market are drawn like moths to this beacon of warmth, liquor and music amid the wasted cityscape.
Some early responders have already been assigned characters, but whomever can come in costume will get preference when what remains is assigned.
For those of you who don't know, my address is 871 West 50 Place, Hialeah, FL 33012. Just take the 826 to the 103rd Street exit, go east, and turn on 12th Avenue. Make the first right, proceed through the 4-way stop, and then take the first left. The road will curve to the right and my house is about the 7th or 8th down on the left. Kind of babyshit yellow color, lawn badly in need of mowing, broken down Honda in the carport.
If you need further directions or have other questions, phone me at 305-819-3176.
Hope to see you there.

I've had the itch lately to run some Arcanis games.
When is the next LA gameday? Do you need an extra gamemaster?
If not, are there any mods YOU or anyone else on here haven't
played that you would like me to run for you?
I happen to have copies of As Cold and Gray As Stone and Where
Illiir's Light Has Never Shone on my hardrive, but if you tell me
how I'll download whichever mod people want to play and run that.
All I want is a few days to prepare.
If people have a strong interest in playing a game right away,
I'll run one this Sunday (7/25). I'll read "As Cold and Gray As
Stone" and prepare for that as a default mod.
If there's enough interest, perhaps I can make it a regular
thing and run an LA mod every Sunday until I leave. Anyone have any
suggestions? Make a list here and I'll put it to a vote as to which
mods people are most interested in playing, then I'll schedule them
in order of preference.
Here are the blurbs for the two above mods...

Yeah. Eric told me Nelson went back to school and Eric is in charge of mod submissions now.
As for Henry, I spoke to him over IM and I think we straightened stuff out (After he found out about the proposals I sent from Eric). I'm going to try writing up one of the modules I pitched to Eric and see how things go.
I'm looking forward to taking a crack at it.
> For example?
Well, I submitted two different organizations.
One was a Shadow Court which dealt in keeping the peace between the
different governments and allowing the Emerald Society to continue
its excavation of different sites without any interference. It was a
purely political Meta-Org, but Peter liked it, and it was more for
the role-playing PC.
The other was called the Consortium. It was basically a merchant
guild that acted as a price stabilizer and such. It mainly allowed
PCs access to different items and such, and the higher members of the
Meta-Org gained access to different items, materials, and things. I
didn't think this one was going to go anywhere until later.
One guy built a nice Monk Order along the lines of something in the
Codex and it led to training the PC and increasing their abilities
while striving to do good in the world (it was a Lawful Good group).
It had some great ideas, and looked like it would be fun to be in.

Well where are you moving to after the summer? Anyway, we need
people just to be our eyes and ears right now. We are currently
setting up the bylaws of the group, and I'm trying to push for a
small yearly membership of five dollars which would allow us to begin
to build a small fund and then expand and begin to get a bit more
extravagant in the future. I mean we can out do any of the different
groups from Orlando to Tallahassee if we really wanted to.

Hey if you ever want to get the modules started you now get to submit
to Eric Weiner. Nelson is no longer in charge of the modules for
some reason. He was probably transfered to the LA PHb. Henery is a
paranoid mother, he needs to get over it.

I'm going to be a South Florida resident until the end of
summer, so I'll do what I can to help up until then. And of course,
when you do this Halloween convention, I'd be more than happy to
hike down, as long as I can spare the time from school.

Cool deal! Congratulations, man! Hopefully one day I'll have
the opportunity to play in one of 'em.
I have had no news on the module approval front and my window
for working on this stuff is running out- I'm not going to be able
to do a lot of gaming stuff once the summer is over. Besides that,
I'm getting a little ancy. I want to get past the planning stage and
actually start working on a project. I forgot how long it took to
get things like this moving.
Maybe I'll post up whatever stuff I won't be able to end up
using on here and let people pick through it for their home games or
as a jumping off point for their own modules.
Jarad
Well to the first point the Meta-Orgs in the 3.5 Release will suck
the big one as I was able to get a glimpse of it. We're getting
nothing we want and everything we hate. Everything that the players
submitted was rejected.
As for the communication system it would be a big hastle. Right now
our main focus in Miami is to bring about the SFGA, or in other
words: The South Flordia Gamers Association. We just became a tax
exempt organization. That's gonna kick some major ass.
Other than that there is nothing new on the front lines. Five
modules of mine have been accepted and are progressing well. I've
got "Victus Apparatus", the "Through The Looking Glass Series" (Three
Module Series), and the module idea that borrows from you
Jarad, "Unnatural Selection".

Hey man. There were lots of sunny, cheery parts of Spear. Can't
really say that about Blood Reign, but my depiction of the people of
Milandir was fairly upbeat in both modules.
I think I also managed to turn the priests of Canceri into
something more than mustache-twirling, faceless villains. They're
heroes, in their own way. Okay, okay, they're heroes in their own
MINDS, but still... There's happy, cheery optimistic...stuff.
Besides, it's always been my intention that no matter how dark
and gritty the setting or scenario, that the player characters at
least TRY to be heroic, even if they do so in a misguided or twisted
way. The one thing I hate are callow "heroes" (e.g. You know the
ones I mean. The first thing out of their mouth always seems to
be, "So how much do we get paid for this?")

I have no idea what the heck a meta-org is. Could someone
explain?
As far as the Followers of the Azure Way... Weren't they
spelunkers, or something like that? I picture this group as more
swashbuckler types rather than treasure hunters. Goals are more
idealistic than tangible. Anyway, I guess I should really talk to
Scott about that.
Also, there would be nothing secret about this society.
> That all said, it sounds like a cool idea. Is this a player
> organization or a character/in play organization?
>
Character/ in play organization. Though if we could develop a
way for characters to communicate in-game over the internet in some
way that made sense and didn't make other people scream foul, that
would be cool. Everyone loves chatting IC as their character over
the internet. Though I imagine this might cause some problems,
considering almost every hero in Arcanis tends to experience the
same adventures every year. What will they talk about IC?
Player 1: Hey. The Sarishans attempted a coup in Nishanpur.
Player 2: Yeah. My friends and I managed to kill their leader,
Salusandra val'Mehan.
Player 1: That can't be. My friends and I ended up supporting
her as Dark Apostate. She's the new ruler.
And so on and so forth.
People here might be able to help me with this. I'm not
accustomed to how Living games work, so someone has probably
considered all this already and established a protocol for dealing
with it.
Jarad
One more group can't hurt, can it?
So you want to present a sunny, cheery, optimistic point of view of
Arcanis? Who are you and what have you done with Jarad?
This sounds like a Meta-Organization. I believe the meta-org
document is going to be released with 3.5 conversion. Also, the
goals of this organization sound similar to the goals of the
Followers of the Azure Way. Ask Scott for confirmation, he is more
familiar with the specifics of each secret society.
That all said, it sounds like a cool idea. Is this a player
organization or a character/in play organization?
