No This booking is for the 'basic' three nights, Thu,
Fri and Sat, just as it said in the mail... 8-) However, I will be making an additional, booking for
Weds night (and possibly Sunday) for those who want one, but that will
be separate from the block booking The prices should be the same, but I can't guarantee
it (5 EU more at most) Chris
I would like to sincerely apologise for the lack of updates to the
website.
Mikey (My Other Half) is working all hours that he possibly can, and
just hasn't got round to doing it, and I've been travelling a lot
and so haven't been at home to NAG him mercilessly like I normally
would.
If I knew how to upload it myself I would do it, but I don't. I
have just spent 1 minutes trying to work out how to do it and
failed.
If he hasn't done it may th time we get to Retford for Consummation
Two then I think other people will be doing it for him.
Sue
Wave!
Hello everyone.
I am very very pleased to tell you that the Maycon website now has
some real details on it for this year - Huzzah! My apologies for
being tardy, it's been an interesting and busy year so far for
everyone.
I would like to get a rooming list to the hotel as soon as possible,
cos they are asking how many people are coming. I don't want them to
start releasing rooms just yet, and I need to get a feel for how many
bodies are going to attend.
Could you drop an email to me, at maycon2005@... to say if you
are coming and get a form filled it at your earliest opportunity.
Ta muchly
Sue
Just to give you the number of rooms and costs of what we have in the hotel
23 Singles
£ 45.00 inc VAT per single room per night, inclusive of full
English breakfast
21 Cosy Doubles
£ 70.00 inc VAT per cosy double room per night inclusive of full English
breakfast
17 Premier doubles (what you need if you are going to add beds for
small people)
£ 80.00 inc VAT per premier double room per night inclusive of full English
breakfast
£ 8.00 inc VAT Extra beds placed in all premier double rooms
I have to give them a final rooming list by the end of March - this
won't actually be the final rooming list, but will be a jolly good
stab at it.
If you have a preference let me know. Ta

Today is the last day for the cheaper sign up rate.
If you get forms in the post with a postmark on them of today then I
will be very pleased with you, and may consider awarding sweeties to
you.
If you want a room in the hotel you MUST now send me an email to
confirm as I have released a chunk of them back to the hotel. There are
still some available but not many. I'm going to be in Italia for the
next week but I'll check my email when I can.

Hi folks,
I've hired a car to transport me and a load of games to Nottingham
and have room for another person or two. Anyone interested in a
ride to and from West London and willing to contribute to the cost, let
me know.

I don't know which, if any, of the many moderators here are
maintaining the external links, but the link to the Maycon web site at
the Home page here is wrong.
It should be www.maycon.org, ~not~ www.maycon.org.uk
The Links page doesn't have any links, so it isn't ~wrong~ per se,
just useless.
Nits picked While-U-Wait
Thanks Peter - I'll ammend it now.
I will be taking over doing the maycon site for 2006 from the boy. He
doesn't have time and I don't yet know what I'm doing but I will - and
if not I'll be consulting the lovely boys list for geeky advice!

The link off the yahoo group isn't working if you click on it here but
if you type in
www.maycon.org then it works. I have no idea why.
Hotel map and all that is on there.
I'll check in again a bit later then I'll be away for a while flying
home and driving to Nottingham.
I will be on line tomorrow or you can call me on 07715752822 if you
need me!
Sue
And whilst I remember there are still some spaces for Gamers Wives,
which is on Saturday afternoon.
If you need to sign up still mail me or Steve or Paula - email in
previous email on the subject, or see me when you get there.
Cheers

> The link off the yahoo group isn't working
Edit the link, and put http:// before the link text in the Yahoo Group
site's admin interface Sue. It's currently trying to link to a file
called www.maycon.org in the MayConUK folder on the Yahoo Groups
website.

See Suey use cut and paste! Watch and gasp in astonishment as she
makes something geeky work! Thrill at the new enhanced access to the
website! Shake with Terror at the prospect of her doing next year's
website!
Today was brought to you by the number 14.
Thanks Malk. What was that you said about a cream cracker and a barge
pole the other day? ;)

Dear all
I am here. It is nice. Staff very friendly and tolerant of people who
need sleep. My brain is fried.
Please for the love of gods print yourselves a map of the centre of
nottingham. Do not drive here on your own without Sat Nav with a set
of written instructions which you can't read in the dark with no-one
in the passenger seat to tell you where you are and where you are
going. Nottingham one way system goes on for miles and miles and miles
and miles.
I know I experienced about 40 minutes of it.
See lots of you soon
Suey
Jerry bought a rather battered second hand copy of this and hasn't yet
put his name in it.
He has been packing up his games and has now miraculously got a really
nice copy.
Either the gamesmakers's elves have been in overnight, or someone has
taken the wrong copy home....
Please get in touch with me and let me know and we can arrange a swop

I had simply the best time at MayCon this weekend. The games were
terrific and the gamers even more so. Thanks very much to all and
sundry and in particular to the organisers.
Steve
P.S. If anyone found a pair of black Boots sunglasses, I think I may
have left mine behind on Sunday.
There are a pair of sunglasses now at our house. Will sort out getting
them to you!
Thanks so much for coming, and running Gamers' Wives and Kung Fu Monkeys
I had a great time in both.
Thanks to Russell for running the Silly Drive, and to everyone else for coming
You are all lovely peeps!

Thanks, me too!
Here's the address for octaNe if you or Mike, or anyone else, are
interested: http://memento-mori.com/octane/ Not only can you find the
game here but nice handouts and plenty of game examples (including one
of mine) to help get you going.

Hi All
This a last reminder that anyone who wants me to book a room for them
for Essen at the Ibis hotel, for the nights of
Thursday 13th Friday 14th and Saturday 15th October
needs to let me know before Friday 26th May
The rate will be £39 per ROOM per night (this includes a small
discount for a prepaid group booking)
I will need you to pay me by the end of July, and I will pay all
rooms, but you'll have to cover your own bar bills, meals, room
service etc. yourself
I know that some of you want me also to book some rooms for the
Wednesday night, I will do that separately
Thanx
Chris
Many thanks for organising this for us, Chris.
Yes, just to confirm: please book a (double) room for Mark and me for Wed 12th,
and Thurs 13th thru to Saturday 15th night.
