Re: [MatrixGame2] Gen Con game production progresses.

I've greatly improved the boxes. The covers now wrap around all the sides and the map boards also wrap around. I've switched from polyurethane to shellac as the varnish and have switched the rules to booklets and the characters from cards to character sheets where players record the game events as they play. The beginner games are now in boxes (though that might not last since the retailers didn't like 1" boxes much. I put them in fold out binders next. I'm toying with the idea at least.

Lots of work still to do though.

The new titles are:

Thunder Hamsters and the Temple of Cheese
The Graveyard Shift (Cthulhu adventure)
The Return of Colonel Moran (Sherlock Holmes)
Oswald's Genie (a kid (who looks remarkably like me in 5th grade) finds a genie... )
Punch and Judy (a game about a puppet show - I'm only making one of these!)
Blood and Puppets (Punch versus the Pirates - I'm only making one of these as well)
The last three were the games I got done in the fall so they were not at Gen Con.

Exciting! I can’t wait to see what you’ve got at Gen Con this year. My copy of Duffer’s Drift is, alas, still unplayed. L My local group aren’t as excited about war games as I am.

I worked long and hard this weekend and am begining to finish up my Gen Con games. All the old games are nearly done. Pretty shiny boxes with colorful shiny boards. This week I'll get onto the new releases. The Cthulhu game "The Grave Yard Shift" (a rehash of an old game) and "The Return of Colonel Moran" a new Sherlock game.

I got the first of the "Thunder Hamsters and the Temple of Cheese" art and it looks great! Joel Washington is a master of color. The characters are warm and friendly just right for a family game. I'm certain people will want to play because of the art.
