by no means am i a demon winner, yet. but i've been working on some nmm, and for steel, well shiny steel, i use a bit of bluish gray and add black or white....

My advice is to not do NMM. It's a purely 'show off' technique that is not even correct for use on 3D models where your reflections on a metal surface should...
