Games and Stuff East Coast Spectacular Update
With the WarMachine and Hordes East Coast Spectacular only two weeks
away, I wanted to update all of you on some changes to our pricing and
schedules, to make sure everyone is getting the most out of their weekend.
On Saturday June 21st we will be having our "Golden Gears"
WarMachine/Hordes Painting contest. The cost to enter will be $5.00
(US). With that entry a person can place one piece in each of the
following categories: Warjack/Warbeast, Warrior model, Battlegroup,
Unit, and Diorama. From the winners of these categories a Grandmaster
will be awarded. These rules are listed below.
Also on Saturday June 21st our WarMachine/Hordes League day will
occur. This $5.00 all day event will be all out caster kill games for
fun and prizes. The rules for that event are listed below.
Finally on Sunday June 22nd, we will have our East Coast Spectacular
Tournament. This event will cost $10.00 per entry and will be a
steamroller event (5 rounds, 750 points). We will be handing out
prizes for Best Painted Army, Best Sportsman, Best Warmaster, Player's
Choice, Best Tournament and more. Rules for this event are listed on
Privateer Press website or contact the Management of Games and Stuff
for additional information.
I want to thank all of you who have been so helpful in our process to
get these events up and running and I want to invite all of you in the
Virginia/DC/Maryland area to come by and enjoy our facilities while
getting some great game play in. Remember that space is limited for
our League Day and our East Coast Spectacular Tournament so please
give us a call and preregister. Thanks again and we will see you here!

Rules
• All entries must be Privateer Press models. Conversions and scratch
building is allowed but must fall within the scope and atmosphere of
the Iron Kingdoms game world and be either scratch built or made with
parts from Privateer Press models. No third party parts are permitted.
• All entries must be modeled and painted by the person entering. The
person entering must hand in the miniatures themselves at the
specified time. Entries must also be collected from the display case
at the specified time. Any entries not collected by the end of the
show automatically become the property of Privateer Press.
• All entries must be accompanied by the appropriate entry form. This
must be filled out correctly and cleanly. Competitors will be issued
a numbered ticket when they have handed in their miniatures. In order
to collect their miniatures at the end of the show, competitors must
present this ticket and valid ID in person.
• Competitors can only enter categories once, though they can enter as
many off the categories as they choose.
• All entries must be presented on the appropriate size base for which
the model was designed, but extra scenic details may be added.
• While every care possible will be taken with the entries, the
miniatures are entirely at the risk of the competitor. Games and
Stuff and its employees will not be responsible for any damage or loss
that might occur while the miniatures are in their care.
• Games and Stuff has the right to photograph the competition
submissions and to publish those photographs on the web or in print.
• Games and Stuff reserves the right to refuse entry to any competitor
with or without cause. Games and Stuff employees and family are not
eligible to enter.
• All prizes are subject to all state, local, and federal laws.
• The judges' decisions are final in all cases.
• You may note that these rules and standards are identical to the
Privateer Press painting competition at Gencon. That is because the
kind folks at Privateer Press have worked hard on these rules and
standards and have been kind enough to allow us to use them. Any
positive aspects and applause should be given to them. Any negative
comments or `constructive criticism' should be given to the kind folks
at Games and Stuff (specifically Matthew). So there.
WarMachine/Hordes League Day
• The armies for this event will consist of 750 points. An army may
contain an Epic Warcaster/Warlock as available.
• Games will run for one hour or until a caster/lock kill. If a
caster/lock kill does not happen then the game will be awarded to the
player with the most victory points at the end of the round.
• Winners will be those with the highest caster kills. In the event
of a tie the awards will go to the players with the most victory
points. There will be a first, second and third prize for this event
plus others as Games and Stuff sees fit.
• This is a fun loose event and the participants should reflect that.
If you have any negative comments please feel free to direct them to
the management of Games and Stuff. Thank You.
