An ongoing effect is any effect that both:
1 - Persists even if the source card is discarded.
2 - Has a duration and resolution beyond instantaneous.
This means that an effect that triggers when a card leaves play, then does
something like discard energy, add energy, cause a card draw, etc., is not an
ongoing effect, because it endures and resolves instantaneously. A card like
Shadow Cloak, however, is an example of an ongoing Effect; once it is activated,
even if it is discarded, unless it's by a card such as Beam of Light, the
Protection persists until the end of its duration.
With that in mind:
Crystalize - The card will be drawn.
Grim Goblet - The hand will be discarded.
Frusk - Magic Scent will not allow the draw of a card, because the Frusk must
survive through the playing of a Spell or Relic to trigger the Effect.

Concerning Beam of Light, what would happen when it is used to
destroy the following cards:
Crystalize (Would you draw a card or not?)
Grim Goblet (Would you discard your hand or not?)
Frusk (Would you draw a card or not?)
What is the difference between a triggered response and an
ongoing
effect?
Thanks for your help!
