Re: [LOTE-L] Lords statistics

Truth told, it's an absurd exercise, but not unpleasant - but I think there
would be of necessity a division of the "accomplishments" by era, if only to
qualify the achievement vis a vis that of another player!

Of late, I'd say that, if I stopped playing L28DV, that's about as close to an
aesthetically perfect game as one could hope for - while not the biggest empire,
I have leveraged every opportunity to maximum effect and used the rules to my
benefit and not considered them restrictions in any way.

One turn I built 100K in heavy elites. This was L2 Persia, which had been in
mothballs and sat atop a huge pile of nfp and gold. Not hard.

I would say that every victory is idiosyncratic - if Matt had two B generals and
awesome AQRs and elites, yes, he could thrash them - my Sweden slaughtered over
50K Muslims with only a third of the force once.... but truth told, anyone who
knew what Sweden had shouldn't have been surprised when armies at least one TL
below and far below in AQRs charged into a forest en masse toward a directed
defense with heavy elite artillery and heavy elite infantry....

Given how unexciting a big position can be, I think I've done good things with
L47's unified India - particularly since I'm still internally developing and
getting by mostly on the mystique of the map and the ISI... and not through
direct action itself...

I am pleased with my performance in L10 France - it went from being strictly
European to being, if the game moved, set to be as big as any Indian or Chinese
nation - so long as its burgeoning overseas empire doesn't burst apart.

I had hoped, if that game continued, to have a global empire on three continents
outside Europe and a set of bases not unlike that of the British or the US...
something that's not quite been done - in L1 everyone has their area that they
"dominate" and no one dare assay it, but I'd hoped to be able to project
substantial power into every theater through a global alliance system....

Oh well. Fun thinking about such things... if you like strategy.
