As an aside, there is evidence that John Howard (who married Mowbrays daughter
and eventually took the title when granted it by Richard III) was involved in a
fist fight with one of the Pastons.
Howard was a loyal retainer of Mowbray and it's likelt it was howard who led
Mowbray's delayed forces onto the battlefield at Towton, turning the tide at a
critical point and resulting in the massive Yorkist victory. Mowbray was an ill
man for a long time, and Howard deputized for him a lot. In this role he met
John Tiptoft and hence the Worcester Household's link with the Howards.
Mowbray and the Howards were firmly Yorkist throughout the Wars.
