The game is based on Jacqueline Carey's books set in the fictional world of Terre d'Ange. The first series consists of Kushiel's Dart, Kushiel's Chosen, and Kushiel's Avatar. Our game begins three hundred years before Dart takes place, during the peak of the Night Court. Relations are strained with Aragonia, but Terre d'Ange has recently made profitable diplomatic and trade relations with Menekhet and, through them, Ch'in.
