K909 Valkyrie Class Fighter

The Valkyrie was made after Sensor operator Kayn Bestrom decided that he needed
a new toy to fly after almost violating a space corps directive. After the
battles between the evil and peaceful Blue Dwarfs from parralel dimensions, Kayn
was able to salvage enough spare parts to peice together a new unique fighter.
The engines and electronics were 'borrowed' from a starbug. It took him only a
week to construct, but welding was definatly the hardest part of the job.

The Valkyrie has room for eleven people, with three piloting, navigating and
making coffee. The Valkyrie can also be used as a transport vessel, holding
eight people in the transport section of the ship. The people inside can be
dropped off with ease and at once from a height of five feet when the floor
opens up.

The Valkyrie was christened on the day of the funeral processions of the Suicide
Squad's final mission (where Penny Lloyd, Deathwish, Keirren Loes and Sam Young
all lost thier lives), and was devoted solely to making sure such incidences
never occured again. After this ship was checked and rechecked by Lt. Cmdr Smegg
it was fitted with two new weapons developed by Super Engineer.

Its armory consists of the six Gaussian Shotguns which were developed originally
for Starbug by Jason Smegg after the Black Nova attacked the Blue Dwarf. These
were customised (sawn-off) by Steev and were able to fire at a much wider range
than before and now explode on impact. The main weapon is the 'Lloyd
Lasercannon' mounted on the front of the ship which has been able to melt
tungsten and punch through ten inches of titanium. This weapon was named after
Private Penny 'Havoc' Lloyd who lost her life blowing up the evil Blue Dwarf.
This weapon was salvaged from the wreakage by Kayn after flying it for the first
time through the rubble of the exploded ship

Also fitted onto the Valkyrie is a cloaking mechanism which allows the ship to
make use of a stealth camouflage mechanism which removes it from sight and enemy
radar. It also plays a certain Richard Wagner classical peice when the fire
button is pressed rapidly...
