Seymour remembered Admiral Tyrell's last words to him before they had left the Space Core station. They were.
"And remember, the Space Eagle is a serious, offensive, fighting machine- it is not an impressive toy to be used to pull birds with!"
But Seymour didn't care, the gleaming fighter was a babemagnet, evn if it didn't say so in the specifications.
Thats why he asked the gorgeous Penny Lloyd to come and meet him in the hangar bay.
Niples heard footsteps coming and quickly assumed his pose, which was to pretend to be polishing the fighter's slick green hull.
Penny Lloyd entered and coughed to announce her prescence. Niples looked up.
"Ahhh, Ensign" he said as he smiled at her.
She didn't smile back, just stared at him.
"What did you want me for" she asked.
Niples tried to attract her attention to his powerful, stealthy, fearsome space-fighter, but for once her attention was focussed on him. Seymoure had wanted her to look at him like that so much any other time, but now that he wanted her to see something else- her eyes were fixed on him.
Niples tried to walk around the other side of the craft so that it blocked her eyeline of him, then she was bound to look at it. But instead she just followed him around.
In the end Niples gave up. "How do you like the new fighter Ensign?" he said pointing to the ship.
Penny looked at it for a second and then looked back at the commander.
"Was there something you wanted me to do guv?" she asked. Obviously not too impressed.
Niples sighed and gave up, he wanted to ask her if she wanted a ride but she wasn't very impressed and probably had better things to do. Feeling bad about himself he solumnly said: "I just wanted you to find Lt Cmdr Smegg and see if the dimension jump drive is ready yet.
Penny nodded, and as she did so Niples watched her hair bounce around her head in its playfull way. She turned around and walked out of the door, swaying her perfectly rounded hips in her tightfitting leather trousers as she did so.
Seymour watched untill she had dissapeared then found himself staring at an empty doorway.
"Dammit what is wrong with me?!!!" he asked himself sharply and punched the Space Eagle, making a slight dent in its side.
He spent the rest of the day hammering out the damage from the other side.
