Welcome to Imp_list, the discussion group for The Daily Imperialist site. We discuss anything to do with the games Imperialism I and II, and Trade Empires. Downloads of the full versions of both Imps and Trade Empires, plus all the relevant patches, scenarios, manuals, etc, are in the Links section. If you sign up for the group, you'll be prompted to say why you want to join. Please mention something that is obviously to do with Imperialism or TE or strategy games in your answer, so that the moderator (i.e. me) knows you're not here to spam, or a biker chick wanting traffic to her web site (good luck to you, but come on, give us a break...). Answers left blank or containing no response or "hi" or "pls let me join" will be denied, sorry!

Agreed this is the best use for these at later stages in the game. "Assuming this is Imp 2 we're talking about, the only reason I keep merchants and explorers

Assuming this is Imp 2 we're talking about, the only reason I keep merchants and explorers around is to place them at road forks so railroad workers can keep

I am absolutely sure they don't eat food. I played a lot on the max difficulty and the first 20-30 turns the food is extremely short so I track the food
