Hi Brent,
the opportunity status remains until the Unit do something (move, fire etc.) so
is carried over to next turns. You can start and end a game with a Unit in
opportunity.
Remember 2 things
1) Opportunity is free during deployment (but you have to declare it)
2) As a Unit fires only once in a turn, if you fire by opportunity before being
activated, then once you are activated, you cannot fire again within the same
turn.
The reaction fire due to Zone of Control is anyway "infinite", so you can fire
everytime conditions occour and then fire during your activation.
BUT if you are in opportunity and you react for ZoC, then you loose your
opportunity status.
cheers
Lorenzo

Subject: [IMPETVS] Opportunity duration
Hello all,
I'm looking for help on one point of the rules. When a unit is placed on
opportunity in their movement phase, are they on opportunity only for the rest
of that turn, or until such a time time as they either move or use the
opportunity? That is, can opportunity 'carry-over' from one turn to another?
I hope this question is clear . . .
TIA
Brent
