Hi to everyone,
As promised since more than a year, IGDA Ottawa is currently organizing roundtables around various topics of the game industry.
The roundtables are the opportunity for you to meet and discuss with some colleague. The setup should be highly interactive.
The intended roundtables are around the following subjects:
1 – Console development: Difficulties of game console development
2 – Independent Development: i-phone development, pros and cons
3 – Game design: What are the challenges of game design with the new input systems (Touch screens, Natal, Wii controllers, etc.)
4 – Project Management: Agile and Scrum methodologies experiences
5 – 3D and Art roundtable: Subject to be announced
6 – Programming roundtable: Subject to be announced
The roundtable will be held at Carleton University on June 30th, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
We are now taking registration for the event. The event is free but there is limited space to each roundtable. If a roundtable does not get enough participants, it may not be held.
If you are interested in one of those roundtables, please send me an e-mail. I will register you and send you a confirmation as soon as enough participants will register to your roundtable.
I hope to see you there,
Jean-Sylvain Sormany
