To close off on 2008 … We've decided to combine all of our favourite things under roof: Gaming, gamers, beer, amazing speakers, and prizes!

 

Come join us at Ottawa's premiere gaming hall to hear two great speakers, play in a mini multi-player gaming tournament, and meet-up with Ottawa's gaming community!

 

You will have the opportunity to hear great keynote topics from two of Ottawa's game companies, TransGaming & Fuel Industries:

Keynote 1: TransGaming

Speaker: Gavriel State, CTO and Founder

Title: Bringing EA's SPORE to the Mac using Cider

Quick Sum: TransGaming has been developing portability solutions for the games industry since early 2000. In this presentation, Gavriel will explore their portability approaches with us and share insight into what is was like to apply these techniques to the fan favourite, SPORE!!

Keynote 2: Fuel Industries

Speakers: Jesse Henderson, Producer and Jean-Sylvain Sormany, Lead Programmer

Title: Tinker, a Post Mortem

Quick Sum: Microsoft Tinker was a product developed by Fuel Industries for Microsoft. Come listen to Jesse Henderson Jean-Sylvain as they share Post Mortem results of this project, highlighting the importance of collaborating with the client, agile management, and changes in design. This presentation will include demonstrations and will be very interactive!
