Robert,
any chance you can post Bill's XP calc or somehow send a copy? Is it
freeware? I searched for it several times, but can't seem to find it
anywhere.
If you can't send, can you point to a place to find it? Thanks,
Happy new year all, by the way.

Well I
don’t know where you all getting this worry from. I happen to use a great
xp calc for 3.5 games. Bill’s XP Calculator. Not only does it do a fine
job of calculating the xp per encounter but it also just shows the table if you
so choose to do it yourself. And it is a full app not a spreadsheet.

Subject: Re: [Hero_Forge] XP Calculator
I am playing it totally safe... I am stripping the lookup
tables that
have the numeric values for the XP progression. From what I have read
in this list, and comparing what i have seen in licensed 3.5 rules, this
will avoid any issues with WotC because if follows the spirit and the
letter of their licensing. Provided you have your copy of the book in
hand, it will take 10 minutes to data-enter the numbers back into the
tables. (Less if you do it with a formula) The sheet takes the tedious
math out using the tables for the adventuring party when the meet
challenges (creatures, traps, etc)
The challenge I am facing is finding the time to write down what goes in
what column and how to enter it WITHOUT quoting actual values. To make
the sheet work, I had to rotate the tables 90degrees, combine some
columns and split some out (see page 49 of the DMG... it is not a simple
table with 1 value per row and column).
We are very short staffed at work, so by the time I get home, I don't
even have time relax. I have had to cancel our last two gaming sessions
because I was too exhausted to prepare an adventure. Thanks for your
patience all. I will get this on here as soon as I can. I look forward
to everyone's feedback.
