I'll run the team tournament. There will be one Monday, and I don't know which one it will be, that I will not be able to be there do to work. Most likely in September, no problem with October. Everyone seems to like this particular tournament.

Subject: [HackettstownChessClub] Fall Team?
We need to decide very soon if we will hold a Fall Team tournament, as scheduled, or replace the Fall Team with another format.
The deadline for the TLA in Chess Life is July 10. I want to be clear on what we are doing by the time the clocks start for round one of the Holland Finals on Monday, July 6.
We do not need to decide on the details of the Fall Team right now---tweaks to the format are always possible; some might say that's our specialty. We do need to decide if we are going to hold some form of team tournament from October through December, or else go with Plan B....whatever that is.
I like the Fall Team for the most part, but have no strong feelings either way. Also, it's unclear if I will be able to help run the event, which Mike Laverty has volunteered to direct. I'm sure Mike would accept help from anyone who wants experience as a TD.
If a number of club members support a Plan B we can go with that. Otherwise, I will notify USCF they should run the TLA Harold submitted some time ago. (with updated contact info)
Thought, comments, insights?
