Hello Friends,

This email is to let you know about two things.

1. I plan to plan to hold Viking Last Saturday Quads from January through
November this year.
The May quads will be held a week early so it will not conflict with the US
Amateur individual Championship on Memorial Day.

2. In the future (for a while) I will hold a Scholastic K-8 events on the
same day. I have rented two playing rooms at the Courtyard Marriott. So far
the scholastic events are not in Chess Life. An event will be arranged for
any kid who shows up. The format will be flexible as if they are just
attending a chess club. EF is free for any child coming for the first time.
That would be all the kids this month. After that there will be a small EF
to cover the cost of Trophies. Format: Games will be Game/30 and normally
USCF rated.

Let me know what you think. I hope you tell any young players you know about
this.
