I managed to repeat my performance at the Alien Squad Leader
tournament last month by coming last again. My lurkers spent the whole
day just waiting to ambush someone butdidn't get the chance. I lost my
stronghold twice. I found it hard to get troops back once the line had
advanced. A good day still, thanks to Nick and Steve for organising
it. I won the prize for coming last.

I've added my pictures to the HotT Barn 09 folder in the photo
section, hopefully other attendees will post their pictures there over
the next day or two. If I've described anyone's army wrongly let me
know and I'll correct it.

Game 1, Welsh v Arabs
Most to the troops faced off along a hill and bashed back and forward
for a while. A couple of riders enaged my hero general who was
destoryed as he couldn't recoil.

Game 2, Welsh v Ratmen
I got an early kill when one of my archers destoyed a airboat. The
same shooter beat aparantly hopeless odds twice, when warband uphill
of it charged and an aiboat went in the flank. I killed 11 points but
still lost in end.

Game 3, Welsh v Hawaians
A game with no casualties on either side. A hero ran round my flank
while I was trying to kill the magicians with spears and shooters. A
flyer helped it capture my stonghold.

Game 4, Welsh v Hoth Rebels (star wars)
My line advanced to face the block of shooters and hero general in the
centre. I found I couldn't maintain line of sight to my left flank
troops in a wood and my right flank troops over the hill. Two flyers
ran round my right flank and another hero round the left. A run of 1s
for PIPs allowed the hero to get past two shooters and two warband
unmolested. My hero general took out one of the flyers but the
stronghold fell to the hero and remaining flyer.
