Hero System 5th ed question   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #418 of 419 |
This is a system question directed primarily at Ben and Jon. In
trying to get a good feel for character creation in the Hero System, I
have been making character sheets based on the X-Men. Cyclops, Beast,
and Wolverine were easy enough and I used Storm to figure out power
frameworks. Rogue and Gambit have been giving me problems.

Rogue steals people's powers when they make skin contact with her
(also this has been known to put people in comas). I am thinking that
she has two always on no normal defense (gloves or clothing) damage
shields. One that transfers natural or mutant powers to a variable
power pool of stolen powers. The other is a really powerful stun or
endurance drain. Another thought was that she could transfer stun or
endurance to a variable power pool that reflects the abilities of the
victim. Does this sound about right? What are your thoughts?

Gambit has the ability to charge items with kinetic energy so that
they explode when he throws them at things. I am thinking that might
be a transformation of some kind or an energy blast that uses and
breaks focuses, but I am not sure. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks!
Brock
