Charles Millar died at age 44 on Saturday of this past weekend of
heart attack. Charles played Cord of the Pomarj as his primary Living
Greyhawk character (I do not know if Cord was retired or not) but he
also had a Cattails character and was instrumental in the formation of
the Cattails metaorg.

Charles played a lot of LG in Years 1-3 (I know this because I did
too) across many regions - I cannot speak to his participation in
Years 4-present since my own participation dropped considerably but I
believe he still maintained his characters and showed for a number of
cons, despite his growing devotion to raising his daughter Charlotte.

Please keep his wife Elizabeth and daughter Charlotte in your thoughts.

For those who care, they're done. Now I know that intros can be
ordered, and so they'll be reported as regular mods.

Help StellarCon07 and get free admission!

StellarCon07 will be held on March 9-11, 2007 at High Point Radisson
and is fast approaching with a lot to offer. We are looking for a few
good GMs for RPGA gaming at this years con. Those that run 3 games get
free admission. GMs may also get "surprises" as well. *smile*

If you're interested please contact me at: tdwhiteneck @ hotmail.com.

Come, meet the guest of honor: Jim Butcher, enjoy, and join in the
gaming at this years con!

Thanks,

Tracey

Anyone who has played an LG PC to the level of 16 or higher (and retired in a
way that allows further play, that being not giving the character over to triad
control) may participate in the high level campaign. The details are at the
Living Greyhawk part of the Wizards of the coast website. I don't have the
specific link handy, but a little searching should turn it up.

Hey all,

I was wondering what gaming groups there were near
Macon and Warner Robins. Not only would I like to
find a gaming group to meet regularly with but I also
have about a dozen COR, SHE, and GRM mods I'd like to
get knocked out before year's end if anyone happens to
be running them or interested in running them also.

I checked the RPGA site. There are two mods listed:

DMC1-01 Horrors Never Die, Part 1
DMC1-02 Horrors Never Die, Part 2

Both are available for retail play and home play only. The dates
for convention terminate on 12/18/2006, while the game day dates run
from 1/1/1900 to 12/18/2006, thus both are not available options.

Part 1 is available 12/19/2006 - 2/14/2007
Part 2 is available 1/2/2007 - 2/14/2007

I would assume so (since it is running at WF/D&DXP), but with the caveat
that you would have to find someone to write the module. All the high
level stuff is "written" in the same way the Mark of Heroes "DM's Mark"
adventures were; basic plot outline, monster recommendations, story/plot
objects, are given, but the details must be worked out by the DM.

The two-round DDXP High Level "crawl" might be exclusive, but I have no
definite information on that. Considering Part 3 of the High Level
Campaign is described as the game after the crawl, the crawl might be
similar to a BI, and only ran once.

To your knowledge are any of the events convention exclusive at this
point? Thanks for the heads up.

Apparently the first two adventures for the High Level campaign have been posted
to the RPGA site (I have not seen them, but I have been told by higher ups that
it is so).

The first can be played from now until DDXP (D&D Experience convention). The
second from Jan 1 until DDXP. There will be a 2 rounder at DDXP and another
game after.

Right or wrong, silencing people who are making constructive arguments
is always going to bring about bitter feelings. It's ok to disagree.
It's ok to not be swayed by people who disagree with you. It's not
ok to shut people up because they disagree with you and they're making
valid points that might sway others to their view.

In my very humble opinion, this could have been solved from the
beginning with a simple statement such as, "While this may seem a
complete break from what you expect, there is in-game reason that I
cannot talk about at this time and will be revealed in the future." I
would guess that this would not only have avoided the frustration but
also could have had people excitedly talking about what sort of wild
things would cause the Church of Heironeous to make such a stand. I
can only hope that future posts that are controversial will be handled
in this manner.

I have many more thoughts on this subject as well as things that were
said before, but they are emotional ones and best saved for off-list.
The bottom line is stiffling non-disruptive discussion should never,
ever be used as a method to administer a public forum of any sort.
