I remember that this one was resolved sometime ago in an interactive at a
trinocon. In short, the Free Band was hunted down and killed. They, and
Olowyn, were under the control of a Mindbender who was forcing them to use more
lethal tactics than they intended. Olowyn was captured and put on
trial(interactive). The judgment rendered on him was that despite the fact that
he was not wholly responsible for his actions (he was under the influence of the
Mindbender much of the time), he was still guilty of taking up arms against the
Gran March, which in a non-lethal way occurred before the Mindbender joined the
Free Band. Also it was pointed out that extended control by spells such as
Dominate Person would still have left Olowyn with some moments of free will in
which he might have attempted to gain his freedom, which he did not. the final
sentence was that he would spend the rest of his life in the personal service of
the commander of Fort Tribulation whomever that might be at the time. I may
have gotten some of the details wrong, but this is the gist of it.
