A dark haired woman knocks on the simple door at The Haven. A low,
deep voice grumbles from the study, "Anne, I could sense you thirty
paces away, come in". Anne walks in taking a moment to making sure
every word is filled with fact and point. Ven makes a slow
smile, "Anne, I have nothing but time, so take yours". Ven puts his
books away and his pen, Anne finally speaks, "Moore is here to visit
and to look after the minor bumps and bruises the children have
acquired". Ven laughs, "finally, my drinking companion is here". Ven
stands up slowly, walks with slower steps than he remembers taking as
a young flan man, running through the woods with his brothers but
knowing he could still do it. The dragon disciple knocks items off
tables and things, Anne just picks it up quickly so Ven does not get
upset about his new found clumsiness. "Just make sure ya' change
that bandage tommora, heres a trail ration. Eat it all at once, and
take wooden copper pieces". Moore's eyes comes across the draconic
man, he stands, up and offers his hand. "Ven, you muscle bound fool,
looks like all that kid tossin' has been workin'". Ven laughs, which
scares the kids but then they calm down almost immediately, "Moore,
once again your mere breath is getting me intoxicated. Where's that
rascally little sister of mine". Ven stops laughing, "she, uh. Moved
to Greyhawk city. Been living there for two seasons. Come on, lets
catch up on the porch and have a couple of sips of wine". Moore
rolls his eyes, "wine". Ven easily catches the eyes rolling, "you
know I keep seidr for you". Moore chuckles, "thanks big fella".
(A few hours later and the whole story of the shadow dragon BI
later). Ven takes a puff from his pipe, "so Geoff has many season's
of peace thanks to brave men like yourself". As he looks out on the
field of his haven, keeping a keen eye on more than thirty of the
orphans in front of him. Moore takes a gulp of seidr, "ah, I hope
so. Maybe your numbers will start stayin' the same". Ven looks at
him, "I doubt that, people in general never fail to dissapoint me.
Everyone has a secret to hide, I help hide about thirty of them".
Moore changes the subject, he is not used to hearing things like this
from Ven. "my gosh Ven, ur' gettin' all speechy. So, what you got
planned"? Ven ponders the question, ponders some more and Moore makes
a gesturing motion to hurry up. "I think I am going to enjoy this
peace my travels and the brave of Geoff has brought me. What about
you there healer"? Moore points to his backpack, "goin' ta' travel
the oerth for awhile, start in the Sheldomar and just keep goin'. I
just don't see me settlin' down , takin' a wife and havin' some
kids. Just don't suit me, not at all. Might stop by Greyhawk city
and see my sister, wherever The Summoner takes me". Moore stands
up, "my work ain't done here first. I'm gonna get back ta work. I
will say bye before I go". Moore stands up, and gets back to his
chair and begins fixing up the kids.
About midnight, Moore walks back to the porch and Charm is in mid-
performance of her rendition of the worlds saddest song. Moore is
stopped in his tracks and just stands there until she is
done, "alright Ven. I'm done, gonna hit the road". Ven offers his
hand, "Moore it has been a pleasure making your acquantice, may you
find your reckoning in life". Moore nods and returns the hand, "Ven
you do good work, keep it up". With that the cleric walks off in
the darkness, robe flowing in the breeze. Ven sits back down, repacks
his pipe and lights it. Anne motions Ven, " its time for the kids to
go to bed". Ven smiles and rumbles, "relax Anne. No bed time tonight,
we have nothing but time". –Ven and The Haven, with guest
appearance by Moore Ci. Cleric of Tritherion.
*OOC* It has been a pleasure playing with most of you. May your
future gaming be as joyful as the LG has been. Thanks to the mod
writers and the triads throughout the years. As for me, I think I
will be hanging up the dice for awhile. Gonna take a nice long break
from dnd, who knows maybe a permanent one. Everyone take care and be
safe.- Kenny Watkins (yes the guy arguing at tables with Jamie Hyssong
