That's if the vessel was not left in such poor condition . The Iowa for instance, had all it's main deck replaced. Boiler tubes have to be worked on. This is

New Jersey is in Camden, across the river from Philadelphia. My father, daughter and I stayed on it overnight a couple summers ago with about 350 boy scouts.

Check out Wikipaedia on the Battleship New Jersey. It took 8 months to get it underway for the Viet Nam War deployment, however, they did extensive upgrades,
