Like I said before, it is 10 yrs. before Miaka arrives in Konan, * Sun setting in the west, on the temple steps, little Tamahome and Nuriko are sitting down on the temple steps to count the stars when a bright light fills the sky and a small girl falls from the sky and lands in Nuriko’s lap.*
Nuriko: Hey! Woah! Okane-chan!
Tamahome: *Glares at Nuriko*
Nuriko: Not you! Her! * He yells pointing at the small girl, with ash blonde hair, who was now cowering on the step.*
Tamahome: *Blinks* Who… Are you? * He warily asks *
Little Girl: *Looks up at him fearfully *Me? * She asks quietly*

Katherine: I .. I’m… Kat…*Before she could say the rest of her name he spoke to her*
Tamahome: Hi, um… Kat, I’m Tamahome, and this * he said directing his attention to his friend* is Nuriko…
Nuriko: * He is staring over at her intently with a shimmering tear in his eye.* she looks like Kourin…..
Tamahome: * scoots quickly, over to his friend, and gently hugs him* His sister just died… he’s really sad… * He adds quickly*

Nuriko: *Looks up at her, sniffles loudly, and wipes his nose on his sleeve* Really?
* He asks her with hope in his sad ,tear stained eyes*
Kat: * smiles at him and nods rapidly *
Nuriko: * Glomps her * I would be honored… * he whispers into her ear *
