It is my feeling with all respect to "Christianis" "Christianity" has collectively been tainted by the same histroical factors which provided for its success the development of industrial under capitalism it has sacrificed many aspects of what it originally professed in solipism from the small scale tribal characther, I use quotation marks when specifying "Christian" and "Christianity" because I ask what is "Christian" and "Christianity" .
From the Empire of Rome, where the Emperor Constantine was made the decider of issues over many/all Councils of that church at the expense and detriment of factions and the whole for the benefit of other factions then active.
The riches of Rome were moved from one side of the table to the other, from paganism to "Christianity" in what one day very well as a debt "Christianity will be required to repaid" in any sense of devine justice for stealing is
prohibited, and lying is prohibited.
Today if you obtain a modern competant "Christian Book Distributors" Catalog what will we find?
Thousands of translations and variations of what generally is not understood by average Christians.
I think your questions are very good in that I am encouraged to mediatate on them for additionally the use of references implied no such gender as male in father, nor mother though if the scripture of Jesus were used there are even still yet more distinctions which I am presently repressing discussion so as to be proper in simplicity.
But also now think I can ask isn't the same process of abstraction with all, for is ever the messenger as good as the message, or the disciple as good as the master.

Dear Bhikkhu Samahita,
Just some additional questions on Jesus Christ.
If he was a follower of Buddhism, then why did he
talk about super power GOD and he called his "Father"?
---
What he was taught in Northern India ~19-35 AC was a
version of Mahayana Buddhism, which believed that all
Buddhas was the same 'individuality' coming back here.
They called this concept the 'AdhiBuddha' = Primordial!
This concept was then deified and made SUPERGOD...
Buddhas sometimes call their Noble male Disciples:
'Sons of the Buddha'. This notion may have caused Jesus
to call this conceptual AdhiBuddha 'my Father'...
Due to his purity Jesus developed considerable powers,
even when taught an imperfect Dhamma version...
Highly skilled is the Bodhisattas!

Mohammad may have been too. Buddhism is reported to have
spread far up into the Sinai Desert. The word Allah may
be a linguistic distortion of the word 'Arhat'...
One from a 'Bedouin Tribe = Sunaparantans' became Arhat
under the Buddha and returned to his native ferocious tribes
and taught them Buddhism. Early Buddhism also have e.g.
forbidding of making images of the Buddhas as they cannot
be seen in mere form. For more on Punna the Bedouin:

Thank you for the link to the story of St. Issa.
It is wonderful to see how the religions of the world

Yes! Faith is a partner with reason. We have brains for a
purpose. I believe it is based on reason that many people
believe in life after death. For one thing it makes sense.
I don't believe that we are all here on this little island
in space due to an accident or random chance.
This is a learning grounds. When we die we graduate to a
higher state. If we learned our lessons well we are more
likely to go to a better place. If we are nasty, greedy
piggies then maybe we come back as swine until we learn
what we needed to learn.
---
Any action unavoidably needs faith in that it will succeed
as intended. Faith works in all subject-object relations
trying to 'predict' what the object is & will become...
Faith is thus a quite general feature often active,
though we often only connect it with 'religiosity'!
Many becomes animal caused by Faith in e.g. Nihilism:
'There is no result of neither good nor evil action!'

Wonderful questions and answers today, thank you.
Today my father decided to stop medical intervention for
his many illnesses and asked to be transferred to hospice.
His thinking has apparently taken on a spiritual dimension.
We are very open to supporting him in this journey.
Can you offer some insight in the context of suffering?
In peace, Linda

Looking at Buddha's life before he was 'Buddha', he was Siddhartha.
Remember how he was protected and oversheltered from seeing any
pain, or suffering, or old age, or death. And he went on a horse
carriage ride with his servant. He begged his servant to go to town
with him. His servant was reluctant to allow him to come, because he
would no longer be 'naive' and learn the ways of the world were not
all crimson and perfect. The first person he saw was an elderly man
who hobbled about with a cane, bent over and aged. Siddhartha had
never seen or known anyone like this, he learned about aging from
seeing this elderly man bent in shape. There was probably more to
the story, but that is all that comes to mind right now. He later
went home and then wanted to be alone and meditate. Of course his
parents were horrified. They wanted him to be a 'worldly man', not a
sadhu. Remember when Siddhattha (later known as Buddha) was born an
astrologer told his parents he would either be a great ruler, or a
great saint. In order to be a great ruler he was to be spared of all
things that were not perfect, i.e. elderly people, suffering, etc.
So his parents wanted him to always have everything and stay away
from poverty and suffering. Destiny is destiny, and eventually he
saw what his parents wanted him 'not to see', they wanted a perfect
life for their 'future ruler', but he was human, and needed to see
the suffering so he could have COMPASSION, for without suffering
how could he KNOW compassion.
However does this mean that the elderly that live in nursing homes
need to suffer, want to suffer, have to suffer....Perhaps you
noticing their hardships helps you to maybe make a difference for
them, for you, for future elders...Suffering comes with the
dimensions of earth. However there are means to elevate yourself,
oneself from this 'pain', or maybe change and do things differently,
like Buddha did.

Elders suffering in nursing homes often have done little good!
They suffer thus from lack of MERIT... They did not think it
was important before if was too late...
One becoming old having neglected doing good
wanders about like a heron in a dry pond!!!
