---Yes yes, of course. Talking animals, animals with human attributes, and
humans with animal attributes are indeed pretty universal in folklore, tales and
myth. Some of these might even pre-date Usagi Yojimbo comics... :oP

an Everway backstory than an adventure, but there's ample fodder in there for a
game. Kung fu movies always make me want to define new magic schools based on
different kung fu styles... crane school, tiger school, etc.

---Yes! Kung Fu panda is great. Sure, I'm not sure I would ever use a published
work actually straight as an adventure (thats just not my style... I never get
it at all when folks playing licenced RPGs based on a film or show want to play
the ACTUAL characters from the show?), but as a setting/backstory it is awesome.
I'm all about that Kung-Fu styles thing... which was my motive for running a
game in the chinese-esque "Five Kingdoms" setting discussed here some years ago.
Although I did fu ability as powers rather than schools (back to that old water
chestnut!)
Anyhow. I've made a long post, mostly just to say, Jack, (as usual) I agree with
what you are saying!
