Subject: [EuchreScience] Re: KH (green) trash?

I agree this has some remarkable interest. I haven't been on here in a while and somehow got sucked into reading all of the posts on this.

My question : Why is 1st leading trump into 2nd's assist whenever 1st has trump.

I don't know if anyone said to lead trump in every situation from the 1st seat.  My opinion is that you usually should lead trump. (I will define 'usually' as 90%, but that is my 'off the cuff' guess-timate,

Does it matter if 1st has voids or aces?  It definitely matters.  Quantifying how much it matters is a more interesting question.

That seems like something you would want to put in as options, but I sure wouldn't be leading trump on defense unless I had two aces and no voids.

Well, I agreed that leading trump when you have multiple ACEs and no voids is one of the best situations to lead trump.  If I were to guess, the most advantageous situation would be when the 1st seat has the RIGHT.

Aside:  This is another example of a scenario where people (people defined in general sense and not specifically pointing to any individual) have troubles determining the best strategy.  That is to say a situation where no matter what they do they are going to usually lose pts... but doing the best thing will limit the losses.  Another example is donations)

Yeah you could be right about that. At some scores I will unguard the left by leading the low trump... but I still don't like it. At other scores I won't as...

Leading trump to a 2nd chair order bunches the trump. It doesn't always work but it definitely puckers the maker. It's not only a good strategy of play but...
