Hi all,
first of all a big apology to everyone for the long silence, so many
things are happening so fast that is hard to keep track of all!
Anyway, I just wanted to keep you up to date with what is going on,
because despite the appearances much is moving in the darkness...
First of all, the figures. We have completed the amazingly painful
transition to the new workshop and I'm very glad to say we're now back
to 100% capacity. New figures are back into development already, and
so are a number of support items, including resin scenic, terrain bits
and bases. That said we have a very full schedule on the historical
side, which has to get precedence because that is the most established
part of our business, and where all revenue come from. Esair is "the"
big adventure for us, but we need to make sure we don't get broken
doing it first! Bottom line, it's still unlikely there will be new
releases for the next couple of months, but we are looking at getting
back with a vengeance next year, which will see our new releases
focusing almost entirely on 28mm!
Next the crew: I'm very pleased to say we've started collaborating
with other very talented artists. I won't get into the details yet,
but you will soon have a chance to judge by yourself, and I'm quite
optimist you'll be amazed by what you'll see... ;)
Last but not least, support: lots of new raw material has been piling
up and will be released as soon as the new figures will start coming
out... the website is being reorganized as well, and there will be
lots of new pages for all factions, as well as more specific gaming
support, including TO&Es, scenarios, rules and stats.
There is a skirmish scale rule sets being developed specifically for
Esair, and we're also working on an adaptation of Impetus, which seems
very promising as a starting point for a larger scale battle system...
There is a free simplified version available in several languages at
http://www.dadiepiombo.com/basic2.html
check it out if you haven't yet...
That's all for now, thank you very much for your patience and support,
and keep an eye open for Esair: the return!
Cheers,
Claudio
