So, I picked up a copy of Cartoon Action Hour at the gamer's garage sale. It's
the game of cheesy 80's action cartoons. You know, ridiculous villains,
simplistic often dreadful but always violent plots, a complete lack of realism
or death, and more cliches than you can shake a stick at.
Mark said he would only sell it to me if I promised to run a session for the
Thursday game. The game isn't brilliant, but it does look playable. As far as I
know it wouldn't be for a bit. It sounded like Devon would be running her
Barryar game next week, but I'm seeing if there are other people out there crazy
enough to be interested in this. My proposed run.
Battle of the Cities!
After the nations of the world broke up into city states, small cities like
Sheboygan found themselves in a precarious situation. They didn't have the
industrial strength of Minneapolis to construct technological terrors or the
resources to sustain giant monster pits like Milwaukee. In Sheboygan Doctor
Charles Goodluck claimed to have an answer. His researches into psychokinetic
energy would allow him to create a group of super humans capable of defending
the city. Many opposed this plan, dubbing it "Goodluck's Gamble", but finally
he was given the go ahead for the project. Unfortunately, it takes years to
raise children, leaving Sheboygan's defense forces almost two decades to hold
out. But they did. Mayor Maximilian Menace of Minneapolis was more interested
in his campaigns to the West and South while it also takes time to raise giant
monsters. Sheboygan fought off several small armor raids from Minneapolis and
while the baby monster caused great damage the defenders managed to drive it
off. But now Mayor Menace has turned his eyes Eastward. He has reassigned his
most capable and vicious commander, the half machine General Moreland Panic, to
the Sheboygan front. Meanwhile, the monster pits of Queen Dementia of the
sovereign kingdom of Milwaukee are filled with full grown beasts. The oldest of
the super humans may be only seventeen, but as General Panic nears Sheboygan
with his mechanized infantry it is time to see whether Gookluck's Gamble will
pay off.

John, I've been working on some pre-gens but if you come up with a concept that fits in I can make that as well. This is Team G as presently conceived. Don't...
Not a problem, Team G looks good to me as well! I think I pick Trump for my character. "I'm not fat, I'm big Boned!" ... -- John Reiher Have Mac, will Travel ...
John, I completely understand. I would much rather have people design their own characters that they really want to play than use one of mine that they might...

... Yes, but we are a Betan survey crew and ended up shanghaied by the locals. I'm not as familiar with Barrayar as others. If he's not acceptable, I'll change...
... In general, yes, although the engineering quality could probably be vaguer and still work. One thing I want to point out is that you do start in captivity,...
OK, why don't I just reword it as "Ship's Engineer" as that covers a host of skills and is more vaguer. He'd be missing all his drill bits and screw bits from...
... I'm pretty sure that Barrayar, while backwards technologically compared to Beta Colony, has access to hammer technology (and they aren't afraid to use...
