WELCOME TO THE INN
Greetings, friends and fellow companions, and welcome back to the
Inn of the Last Home! I know it has been some time, but I'm back
with a plethora of news items for you, including the new look and
address of the Nexus, the new Jean Rabe trilogy, and a little blurb
from Tracy Hickman on a Dragonlance movie.

So grab your hoopaks and step into the Nexus. The portal to
adventure awaits!

NEXUS GETS A FACELIFT
If you haven't seen the Nexus of late, you may want to take a look.
Paladin (Matt) has outdone himself on the look of the Nexus, giving
us a beautiful map background along with a fearsome dragon on the
front. Don't worry, the classic graphic by Tracy Hickman is still
there too! We think it's the best design ever.

To see the new design, you can just hop over to our new address –
http://www.dlnexus.com/ and have a look. So why the new address?
Several factors came into play, including the idea that the Nexus is
more than just a gaming site and that we support all editions of the
Dragonlance game. And hey, maybe eventually one of those 4th
edition rumors will prove to be true! Never fear, though, for we're
still keeping the classic dl3e.com address as well.

DRAGONLANCE MOVIE!
Usually, when I hear talk about a Dragonlance movie, I discount it.
Rumors of a Dragonlance movie have been around for years. Recently,
though, Tracy Hickman mentioned on his Dragonhearth podcast that a
movie was in the works, which he also confirmed on the Dragonhearth
message boards.

No details about the movie have been released as of this time. Keep
watching the Nexus for the latest!

FROM THE ARCHIVES
This year, the Nexus has embarked on a new project to collect the
best of the "lost gems" on the web. Through diligent research, and
perhaps a touch of insanity, we've uncovered a number of items. You
will see a bunch of new articles, chat transcripts, and even a bunch
of rules for SAGA fans.

We have also opened up an archives section of the site, which
showcases the best Dragonlance websites that are no longer
maintained. You will see such classics as Richard Connery's
Ansalonian Gazetteer, James O'Rance's Taladas site, and Uziel's
excellent Chambers of Astinus. Be sure to check out all the
archived sites!

NOVEL NEWS
Have you picked up Amber and Iron yet? If the answer is no, then
run down to your local bookstore and grab a copy! The second part
in Margaret Weis' Dark Disciple trilogy is out in hardback, and it
is really good. Your jaw will drop when you read the surprise
ending. Amber and Iron includes an appendix by Dragonlance gaming
guru Jamie Chambers, as well as a preview of the first novel in the
Lost Chronicles (formerly Dark Chronicles) series, Dragons of the
Dwarven Depths.

Want to know more about Lost Chronicles? According to Margaret
Weis, the second book of the Lost Chronicles will be Dragons of the
Highlord Skies, with the finale titled Dragons of the Hourglass Mage
(formerly Dragons of the Dark Queen's Temple).

Also, Jean Rabe mentioned in a blog recently that she will be
penning the Stoneteller's Trilogy. According to Jean, one of the
characters is named Mudwort (a name she loves). No further details
on this trilogy are available at this time.

Empire of Blood, the finale to Richard Knaak's Minotaur Wars series,
is out on paperback. I highly recommend this series. On the young
adult side of things, the Elidor Trilogy continues with The Crystal
Chalice, by Ree Soesbee.

The latest release is Trail of the Black Wyrm, book two of the
Taladas trilogy by Chris Pierson. If you've ever been interested in
Taladas, now is the time to jump in.

GAMING NEWS
Legends of the Twins was recently released. This book deals with
not only the Legends trilogy, but also the subjects of time travel
and alternate histories. Yours truly penned three of those
alternate histories, so check it out.

Sean Macdonald, aka Kipper, returns with Tasslehoff's Map Pouch: War
of the Lance. You can expect to see more of Sean's wonderful
cartography.

On the horizon, the finale of the Age of Mortals trilogy of
adventures – Price of Courage, by Cam Banks. Plus, be on the
lookout for Knightly Orders of Ansalon. Knightly Orders is going to
be one of the best Dragonlance sourcebooks yet, with details of the
Knights of Solamnia, the Dark Knights, the Legion of Steel, and
more!

NEXUS NEWS
Beyond a facelift and archiving, we have been busy as usual. April
Fool's Day was real fun this year as we presented "Everything That
Breaks Canon." We broke out our dragonflails for that one!

On a more serious note, though, we have had several new additions.
Ben Jacobson is continuing with his Herculean effort to catalog all
the people, places, and things of Dragonlance with the Lexicon.
He's got a great team working with him, including the Chambers of
Astinus' own Uziel. The Lexicon has over 1,000 entries now, and
continues to grow. Ben has been working hard to find art for many
of the entries, including several excellent pieces by Nick Barfuss.

The Palanthas Herald, under the watchful eye of Ravenmantle,
continues to grow as well. After six months of operation (wow!),
the Herald continues to breathe life into Palanthas, making it a
living, breathing setting for your games.

Our fan rules section has seen a number of new additions as well.
There are several pieces by Clive Squire, including his article on
the Masters of Krynn and a conversion guide to the magic items of
The Last Tower SAGA boxed set. There are several new characters as
well, including some from our Unsung Heroes conversion project.
