WELCOME TO THE INN
Greetings, friends and fellow companions, and welcome back to the
Inn of the Last Home! Today, as our special guests, we have a
group of Healing Hands of Mishakal. After treating yours truly
recently, I couldn't deny them the chance to tell you all about a
great new gaming book – Holy Orders of the Stars. Plus, some of the
elven refugees from Silvanesti are traveling through these parts
towards the lands of Khur.
So grab your hoopaks and step through the portal. The road to
adventure awaits!
GAMING NEWS
If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to grab a copy of Holy Orders of
the Stars. Holy Orders of the Stars is a great resource not only
for clerics in the Dragonlance setting, but also for other divine
followers of the gods as well. Holy Orders includes info on how
each race and region of Ansalon views the gods, prestige classes for
all the gods (save the gods of magic), expanded entries of each god,
entries of each of the churches of the gods, and so much more.
On a personal note, this is a huge milestone in my writing career,
being my first cover credit for a gaming product. I'm proud to be
working alongside the other designers (Sean Everette, Chris Pierson,
and Cam Banks) as well as all the talented people at Sovereign Press
who worked so hard to put this together.
Coming soon…Legends of the Twins.
NOVEL NEWS
For those that have been itching to find out what happens to the
elves after the War of Souls, be sure to check out a recent release –
Sanctuary, the first book of the Elven Exiles trilogy by Paul
Thompson and Tonya Cook. You can find a review of the book on the
Nexus (http://www.dl3e.com/products/review/473.aspx).
Also, book two of the Dark Disciple trilogy, Amber and Iron, will be
on shelves in February. Be sure to check out the listing on the
Nexus (http://www.dl3e.com/products/503.aspx) for the awesome cover.
COMIC NEWS
The comic adaptation of Chronicles continues. Issue #2 was recently
released, and issue #3 will be out shortly. Also, be on the lookout
for issue #6 of The Legend of Huma in November. My understanding is
that there won't be a trade paperback of Legend of Huma at this
time. Be sure to reserve a copy at your local comic book store.
NEXUS NEWS
The Nexus is bustling with all sorts of new activity of late. First
up, the Dragonlance Lexicon (http://www.dl3e.com/lexicon/)! This is
an ongoing project that seeks to categorize the people, places, and
things of Dragonlance. The project is off to a great start, and
continues to grow every day.
And for fun, Matt has whipped up the Dragonlance Weather forecast
(http://www.dl3e.com/weather/) and the Dragonlance Moon Tracker
(http://www.dl3e.com/weather/moons.aspx). Now you can know the
forecast for your favorite cities across Ansalon, and see what
position the moons will be in each night.
We have several new additions to our fan rules section
(http://www.dl3e.com/fan/rules/), including my compiled and expanded
bard guide (http://www.dl3e.com/fan/rules/13507.aspx). Be sure to
check out all of our latest additions.
UNTIL NEXT TIME
Before I go, I just wanted to put a shout out about a really great
movie – Serenity. This is Joss Whedon's masterful "space western",
for lack of better terms. Be sure to check out the role-playing
game by Margaret Weis Productions!
See you soon!
Long Live the Lance!
