Veljic Wins First World Series Spot
THE first American player to win a place at the 2006 World Series of
Darts is Isen Veljic, who won Saturday's Virginia Beach Qualifier.

Chicago-based Veljic defeated Cabell Saples 4-1 to come through the
144-player field and win a place at the Mohegan Sun Casino in May -
when he will bid to win the $1 million first prize.

"It feels great," said Veljic. "I came down here from Chicago to win,
and I believed in myself the whole time - I'm overjoyed."

last 32.

Veljic is the first of 12 players who will win qualifying events

There is a bar not far from there, Mulligan's at Roscoe and Damen. They have numerous teams in the Windy City Dart League. If you visit www.windycitydarters.org, you may find a few others that are near by as well.

There are blind draws in the city also.... Friday's at Di's Den (Iriving Park and Leclaire) and Wednesday and Saturday's at Family Bar (Irving Park and Naragassat).
