Incident:
The other night there was an incident between two badged members and I felt the
need to bring it up at this meeting. A member was thumped by another member.
While I do not expect everyone in this room to be friends with everyone else I
would think that a mutual respect is not too much to ask. If you have an issue
with another member please bring it to myself, Draeya, or a councilor when they
are voted in. Or pull the member aside and speak with them out of the public
eye.
Divisions:
There are four divisions within the order. The Wolfpack, Champions, Artifactors
and Attendants.
The Wolfpack is responsible for training new members and providing existing
members with new training regiments.
The Champions are a combat based subdivision this group is responsible for
developing combat strategies, defensive planning, and setting up group hunting
programs. While most training is done by the Wolfpack certain combat training
is done by this group.
The Artifactors of the Apostles deal with non-combat topics such as forging,
foraging, alchemy, tanning and fletching. In addition to these tangible items
the Artifactors deal with the pursuits of knowledge and other scholarly
endeavors.
The Attendants are devoted to the well being of Elanthia. Activities often
include healing the wounded, aiding the fallen and tending to the dead. While
clerics and empaths make up the largest portion of this subdivision, many who
feel membership in The Champions to be above their abilities are invaluable to
the Attendants.
Each of you know your strengths and weakness' I will let each of you decide
which group you feel you are best suited for. Please have a general idea by the
end of the meeting which group you would prefer to be in.
Council Selection:
We are required to have at least 5 councilors. At this time however the member
base simply would not support that many. Once we have 20 to 30 members the
divisions will decide who will sit on council and represent them. This person
may or may not be who the division decides will lead them. The Champions for
example may want one person who they feel is a strong leader in combat as their
leader but another more political member to represent them in council. There
will also be one member that will be chosen by you as an overall councilor they
will not necessarily represent one particular division but all members as a
whole.
Events:
At the moment there are very few events in the works. If any of you have an
idea for an event and would like to see it implemented let us know. Also if you
would like to run the event that would not be a problem. If it is an official
GM event we need to have it submitted to the GM no later than the 18th of the
month and you have to allow for 4 weeks planning time. So if you submit it on
the 18th of this month it can't be done until the 18th of next month.
Dues:
I know the by-laws mention dues but at this time we will not expect dues from
members or any time in the future more than likely. However the order is
basically broke so we will be holding 1 fund raising group hunt a month.
Attendance is not mandatory but every little bit helps and the more money we can
raise the better our events can be.
Recruiting:
The last bit is recruiting. Everyone here is a recruiter for the order. Many
orders expect this to fall to one person and that person is a council member. I
am of the belief that everyone can recruit for an order. Do you have to? Of
course not. But those that have a way with words and feel they can get members
for the order by all means recruit your little hearts out.
