Back into it.
Yesterday I fixed up 3 crokinole boards that consistently made leaners.
The one thing in all of the boards was that the owners thought they could sand
the edge of the hole and this would stop the leaners. It made it worse.
Think of it a a sharp edge on hockey skates the sharper the less resistance. I
returned the centre hole to a crisp sharp edge and the leaner problem all but
disappeared.
Sanding the edges gives it a lazy edge and the buttons can rest on the rounding.

Good morning everyone,
I may have missed the point somewhere in the dialogue but are "leaners"
really that big a deal? Having purchased a number of boards over the years,
both old and new, I try to respect the fact that each board is unique and
often has its own characteristic of play.
In a scenario such as the WCC in Tavistock I can see the need for
consistency from one board to the next, but beyond that a board is a board
and should be played as such.
Just my thoughts.
