Re: clear coat

I will have to restart my project using everybodys tips. Although they looked
good, some of the discs began to wear rather quickly. I think one of the
problems was that I used some old discs that I have previously waxed and
although I sanded them, I was afraid not to sand them too much and lose the
little bevel and concave shape of the discs. A fresh start with some virgin
discs and patience in drying will hopefully prove better results. The saga

make sure to let it dry fro at least 24 hours to harden and then sand lightly
with 400 grit sand paper. Then put a good coat of carnuba car wax on them, make
sure that that hardens for at least an hour then buff them well. This will give
them a rock hard finish and will make them perfect for use on any board. the
wax also acts as a protectant against scratches from anything that may get on
them.

because that may leak through finishes and ruin boards if you use too much.
