Continents is an adventure type mud in a Medieval/Fantasy theme. We have HnS, but there are many things that require interacting with other players too. If you need to eat, either make your own food (if you know how) or find someone to buy it from. Would you like a pet? Find a friendly neighborhood ranger type to tame a wild beast for you. There is no xp for killing, xp is only awarded for doing. Smack a mob, get some xp; cook a bowl of soup, get some xp; forge a sword, get some xp. If you only want to run around beating up things and don't care to interact with others, go rent a video game.

Some areas are stock and some are exclusive to Continents, but none of the stock areas are original. Stock areas have been resequenced, restructured, and reconnected to fit in properly with the surrounding landscape and Continents theme. If you can't stand the sight of stock areas, Continents isn't for you.

Continents is not an "easy" mud. If you only wish to make levels quickly, there are other muds more suited to your tastes. If you want to have fun and enjoy the satisfaction gained by working with friends to accomplish something then Continents might be the place for you.
