The panel/talk with Michael Stackpole went very well. He was in no way
bashing Christianity, or other conservitive religous elements, or even the
"Religious Right." The closest thing he said to being a problem was a
comment about some religious groups wanting to supress activities that
encourage free thought -- but it was a general comment, and some Christian
groups have come very close to that behaviour if not stated belief.
Most of the talk focused on showing how the cases of suicide supposedly
related to gaming had many other causes. And he did point out that gamers
actually have a lower suicide rate than the general population (at least
for teenage boys).
At the end of the talk, I was alble to briefly mention the CCG, but my
wife thought I should have tried to bring it up earlier -- but I saw no
oppertunity since he wasn't taking a lot of questions or open comments (it
was much more of a talk than a convention panel)
