Aren't the Bull Weasel, the Prime Weasel, and the Weasel of the Year also scheduled to attend, in addition to the Alpha Weasel? What does that make the other three players, Lunchmeat, Deadmeat, and Luncheonvoucher?

Get the full story at http://windycityweasels.org.

Also, we're no longer storing supply center charts in the Files section of the
Yahoo group. Instead, you'll find a link called Files Section in the Links menu
of the website. It will take you to a GoogleDocs directory. From there, click on
WCW Club Supply Center Counts.

I've also updated the club's standings in the World Diplomacy Database. Just
click on Club Standings in the website's Links menu.

You can also find all of our current game openings by clicking on Current Games
Signup List in the website's News menu.

So simple, a Weasel could do it.

If you big group of *reacharound rodeo clowns* allowed Jim to
solo...that would be a travesty....its not that hard to talk him into
taking the draw when you can count to 20.

I am posting this on the behalf of Nate from the Chicago Board Games Meet-up. He
could really use some help, and this is a way to get free admission to the Toy
and Game Fair...

Hi guys,

I really, really hate to beg here, but I'm gonna beg for volunteers. I checked
out ChiTag website traffic today. Last year in November there were 8900 hits for
the month. This month so far: 22000. That's a 150% increase in traffic, and a
hell of a lot of potential people. Origins pulled about 10K this year, and Gen
Con about 27K. We're not even done with our PR push. If you don't have
uncancellable plans for Saturday, I have a feeling we're going to need every
body we can get to manage this thing. Let me know by Email or phone: 312 404
8095.

-Nate.

Congrats Paul.  It is good to see an Italian not surrender.

On a related note,
I have just finished my "home grown" Diplomacy Board with number seven, Nathan.  Though he only weighed in at 6 lbs 15oz this AM, I will train him to take down this bull weasel sometime in the next 20 years...

Have fun everyone.  Since we are all healthy here, I hope to get back onto a board before 2010.

Hey guys...we are working on getting the website indexed on Google more effiiciently.  If everyone can take some time and hit the below URL and DIGG it, that would be MOST helpful.

Meant to change this to read CODCon and Weasel Moot.

Peter McNamara won the six-board Carnage last weekend in Fairlee, Vt., to close out scoring in the 2009 Grand Prix. Our champion is Adam Sigal of New York, who led the race from wire to wire.

A-Sig rang in the new year by winning the prestigious WACCon in Seattle. The January WACCon traditionally kicks off the Grand Prix and also served as the launching pad for Grand Prix champions Andrew Neumann (2005) and Jim O'Kelley (2006). (In 2010, WACCon will be held in Paris in August.)

He then rested up for the venerable DixieCon in Chapel Hill, N.C., which he also won. In June, he placed fourth at the World Diplomacy Championship at Origins in Columbus, Ohio. Then it was on to Husky Con in Long Island in July, where he had his head handed to him, finishing 28th of 44.

A-Sig closed out his year in October with his fifth and final tournament, Tempest in a Teapot in Falls Church, Va., where he finished seventh.

In his best four events, he racked up, unofficially, 440.92 points, holding off Dave Maletsky, who finished second with 411.31. The top 10 finishers, with their unofficial scores, are:

Adam Sigal 440.92
David Maletsky 411.31
Jim O'Kelley 373.65
Edi Birsan 334.31
Conrad Woodring 330.38
Peter Yeargin 265.27
Andrew Goff 252.00
Randy Lawrence-Hurt 245.34
Matt Sundstrom 227.73
Andy Bartalone 215.02

The 2010 Grand Prix lineup will be announced next month and should include PrezCon and Tempest. I hope you'll compete in those two events and one or two more.

You should check your filters.

I sent it to the three of you, in hopes one will get it before it is filtered out.

Two questions:

1.  Will the site continue to send out messages like a listserv, or will people have to visit it to get updates?  (or is yahoo going to continue to function like it has for signups?)

2.  Can you (chiming in) change the italics, and perhaps less green?

I took some at CODCON. I attempted to play more at Moot, so I slacked on photo taking.

All,

I'm working on putting up some photo galleries and thought I'd check to see if anyone has any pictures they'd like to offer up from past events or anything related to Diplomacy that might be cool to put up on the website?

I believe Dan took a bunch of pictures this weekend, so as soon as I circle back with him, I'll try to work those into the page in some fashion.

Thanks in advance,
Peter

Of course, I first thought of becoming a photographer myself in response to Jim's case, but then realized that putting myself BEHIND the camera would reduce his case by 60-70%.
