I have redrawn and scanned the maps. I now need to put numbers on them and then write the basic idea I see for it (which will include the ideas got on this list last week).
Basically the idea is: I see it as a 10th level adventure. Clerics of a good faith are corrupted and lured into an evil cult, turning to evil clerics (well, that part is to fit with my own campaign's religion based on the Christian faith). PCs must put an end to this. Ideally, this should be the last adventure in a serie, where PCs investigated dark things and came up there.
So, in the castle / ground level live bandits. However, all bandits are also werewolves! The leader has magical items: small skulls which once broken release a wraith that attacks (so bandits are tough). Second level is the basement of the ruin where live other bandits, but those are wererats. They prepare the victims, etc. Level below are the crypts, where reside a vampire cleric (plus many undead). Of course the vampire controls the wererats and werewolves above. Lastly, far below that level is a cavern where resides a major guardian demon (overseer of the dark lord of the vampire cleric) and probably a gate to the Abyss or Hell.
More this week-end.

Do it as best suits your idea of a dragon lair. As for my "ruined castle" adventure there is in any case a cavern far below, inhabited by a demon (Balrog type served by his two succubus slaves).
>placed in Blacktooth Ridge
I have no ideas what "Blacktooth Ridge" is, except that it is a commercial supplement. I suggest there should also be a short paragraph giving ideas to put this lair anywhere in any campaign setting.

I'm going to do a dragon's lair that can be placed in Blacktooth
Ridge. I think it will be a fairly young dragon, and I'll try to tie
it in with some rumors, an interesting lair (cave, since Turanil is

My idea is to provide a Blacktooth Ridge-based adventure for parties
that stay in the area or use it as a base after taking out the
monsters in the published part of the module. The dragon may be
scripted as a recent arrival - I'll have to see how the idea develops.
I'll call it "The Recent Arrival," for ease of reference. If anyone
has any ideas I'd love to hear them.
It's probably for adventurers of third level - I'll either go that
direction or else write one for much higher level with the assumption
that it's a "Return to Blacktooth Ridge" type of adventure.
I would like to develop the backbone of the story. I am currently drawing the maps, and will do an illustration of the ruined castle.
I have a story in mind about a dark cult. First two levels there is two groups of brigands who are also all lycanthropes: werewolves and wererats; below are undead under leadership of a vampire cleric; deep below is a cavern where reside a demon with a gate to Hell. It is meant to be relatively high level adventure, probably 10-12th level.
However, I will probably lack of creative ideas in many places. So my intent is to write a draft, then have you all read it, comment, and give suggestions if you have ones.

had another thought for the Castle ruins
watchtower/outpost on the way, ruined shell, have a
critter living in it - bear/mountain lion/troll?
something like that.
however underneath the tower is the real adventure, it
is riddled with partially flooded caves and tunnels,
not too many but enough, the floor of the keep is
dangerous in one corner (the corner the critter
doesn't go into) and the pc's if not careful go
plunging down as the floor gives way.
whats in the tunnels? I would use undead, which is an
intersting fight as you struggle to move and breathe
as they drag you down under water! also have a dry
cave accessible only by swimming through a longish
flooded tunnel - you pop up and see area which is lit
by glowing glyphs which surround a long chest, inside
the chest are 'relics' of a lost empire,
powerful/unusual magic (make it something funky - a
sword that spits lightning once a day, a cloak of
lightning resistance), problem is the glyphs hurt (a
lot!) and that the chest is protected by a summoned
demon/elemental/devil/planar beastie etc. I would use
this as a springboard for further adventures and study
- have a theme to this one, for instance lightning,
and have the players find a similar cache in a few
levels time, this time cold for instance. Suggests
that the old empires were opposed by elemental forces
cold/fire/lighning/ice/air etc. So there are 'lots' of
these elemental ruins scattered around the place -
maybe similar ones are linked by gates, or they are
magically linked to do *something* (at the celestail
alignment/ when all the altars are blessed etc)
a campaign of exploration can take place as well as
one of roleplaying/research for the mage/clerics if
they are so inclined. Of course various other
groups/individuals will take GREAT interest in the
fighters sword that spits a lightning bolt once a
day..... :)

just a quickie off the top of my head (B4 I go on my
hols tomorrow!!)
small mini dungeons/scenarios might be better, easy to
use and fit in for a session or part thereof - just as
a starter for folks to build upon and expand to fit
their games?
something like this:
as part of the ruined castle scenario below have a sub
level accessible from the well in the courtyard, the
rusting remains of an iron ladder is discernable if
looked for, leading all the way down the well - a
locked secret door to be found half way down (as well
as a large spider that happens to live down there in
the dark in a niche near the water and decides that
the thief picking the lock would make a nice tasty
dinner..... listen/perception roll to hear it sneaking
up etc) inside is a series of 4 chambers, a hidey-hole
of an extinct assassin cell that operated in the area
70 winters ago and who were responsible for the
killing of the local Lord and his family, sent by an
opposing faith. Rooms are:
entry hall/rest room
Bunk room
Kitchen
Temple area
All in ruin, furniture rotting away, dusty, cold and
damp. Little in there to harm the party except one or
two traps and for the dreaded Temple area. Dark and
dangerous (30X40 feet or so) with a reddish glow to it
- the door to enty protected by a glyph. The glow
comes from a burning shield sized disk of reddish
flame that hovers 15' above the altar - this is a gate
to the plane of fire/hell/insert appropraite place -
if the altar is disturbed and/or appropriate
rites/prayers are NOT said a hell hound/fire
snake/apprpriate monster is summoned via the fire
shield
I would make the critter just a little tougher than
the PC's to give them a good fight
Various treasures to be found include:
perfectly weighted throwing daggers (x2) increase
range by 5' (in a rotting chest in the bunk room)
copper bowl, pitcher and plate on the Altar -
intricately worked, 5 gp normally, worth 50gp to a
collector
in hidey hole in the Altar, prayer book worth 12 gp
(evil item if used by PC's - great place to put in a
unique spell), potions of invisibilty x2, cure light
x2 and fly x1
miscellaneous pots/pans/cutlery etc all tarnished in
the kitchen, except for the copper pitcher that has
minor gems set around its base and is worth 40 gp -
PC's would need to search to find this, and there is
an awful lot of mold and fungus growing in the
kitchen..... (is it dangerous/usefull? up to you!!
maybe some of the fungus can be distilled as a poison
or antidote to poison?)
Just something to play with!
hope this helps and look forward to other suggestions
when I get back next week :)
cheers all

I was more thinking about some drawings, not texts. I was also thinking making an illustration of that castle. Fact is: for me C&C is about a nostalgic game, the good old days of D&D. Reason for which I wanted to resurrect my first ever dungeon. Well, maybe I could write that entirely by myself... It was about brigands in a ruined castle, with a demon they had to feed far below.

The people have spoken! The topic for the first pdf will be mini-
adventures.
Our next step is to assemble the resources. Anyone who can write a
full 2-5 page adventure, please speak up.
We will probably also need to put together at least one adventure
cooperatively, unless at least three people volunteer their authorial
skills. We'll develop the method for cooperative adventure writing
once we've got an idea of how many people will contribute a full mini-
adventure.
I vote for whatever is easiest. A mini-adventure has the goodness of
being able to include treasures, monsters, spells, and NPCs, as well
as all sortsof other things... so, that's actually the best route if
one were to think of it. However, its also the hardest to do
successfully, because adventure writing, at least to make them good,
is not simple.

If we're doing spells, I think that's enough of a theme by itself.
Monsters would probably be better after M&T comes out. Right now, you're the only person who knows the "official" format for them.
Are you voting for spells or for mini-adventures?

By lairs, I mean mini-adventures of some kind. A interesting place with a monster or other obstacle, and some treasure. Might be a five or ten room dungeon, might be a ruin, a river crossing guarded by bandits, etc.

Spells I get, but can you define exactly what you mean by "lairs"?
Also, if you don't see me commenting on spells, it's not because I'm not interested, but rather, it's because I don't even use the Vancian spell system--all my magic is done with a homebrew system based on HERO (i.e, all spells are unique creations of the individual player)-- and honsetly don't want to throw my opinions in on something I don't even use. It'd just muck things up and be a distraction for everyone else. ;)

Here is our mission statement for the first pdf. A small, single-
themed pdf, produced with high quality, posted on the TLG website,
and above all, completed.
In order to complete the goal, we need to keep as narrow a focus as
possible.
The EiC on the next pdf might choose to take a different approach,
but my goal is to identify a small project and get it completed.
In light of this objective, please restrict discussions about our
first topic to either spells or lairs. It isn't that other themes
aren't excellent ideas, but they can be covered in later pdfs, which
there will unquestionably be. For the time being, on this project,
we need to focus our energy from the beginning. I ask everyone to
bear with me on this and in the future, because it's a big job to
organize this many creative people into completing a single task. I
don't want us to spin our wheels on the choice of topic - we want
our traction on the actual production of the pdf.
Forward, Crusaders!
That's very kind of you Mythmere, thanks. I certainly hope we can
put together a fan-created PDF that sets a pretty high standard for
all "those other game systems." I'm looking forward to seeing what
we can accomplish.

You should probably secure TLG's written permission to use their PI
in the product as required by the OGL before going any further. I
suspect a post from one of the Trolls would be sufficient, although
an official "permission slip" posted to the Files Section would be
even better. ;)
You'll need permission to refer to the SEIGE engine, the actual
