if we push 2 of those tables together, then i will have enough room to
setup and play.

go ahead and put me down as running an event.

To answer that, I'll need to check with the library and see how many
tables they have in each side. It will also depend on how many event
submissions we get in. We'll see what we can figure out.

What would be the minimum number of tables for a small tournament?

To have anything worthwhile I would need space for six to eight 4x4 foot tables
(I would bring table tops, can set them on any old tables). If there isn't
enough space for a tournament we could always run demos of games.

The tables are 6x2. Do you need some of the tables already in the room in
addition to your own for the Mordheim and board games?

This is Jon Dennis, I'm the games manager at The Core in Cedar Falls.
We have a Press Ganger (Privateer demo monkey) who might be able to run
official sanctioned tournaments for WARMACHINE and/or the upcoming
HORDES. How much space would be available (4x4 foot tables needed) for
miniatures? The Core would be willing to sponsor and provide prizes,
merchandise, etc. I need to know if there is interest in this kind of
event, and how much play space is available.

Thanks.

Hey Jeff, since we are planning to do your campaign next, I have a question.
I had talked to you about an idea to buy a magic item for duffy with a minor
curse. It would look like a girdle of giant strength. but would actually be
a girdle of masculinity/femininity with a side benefit of letting him gain a
+! strentgh as long as he is in the opposite gender ( with maybe a time
limit of 6 hours before he/she can take it off). The main question is how
much ( I should have enough) and I think it wil be an interesting moral
decision for Duffy (gain stat and a bit of embarasment, or remain less
effecive with your pride intact) anyway let me know the stats on this and
all,

Jamie

Before you do that - I will make an offer to good to be true. I will allow you
all to use the Gamicon.org website if you all want to. It would go something
like:

   www.gamicon.org/crgcon

   for the web address.

I have all this web space available and not using it so someone should get
some use out of it.

   Just a thought.

I doubt anyone here is going to take offense, especially if it helps us get
more turnout and wider exposure! Thanks a ton! I'm also glad to see some
minis wargaming get tacked onto the bill. I think a game of MK Dungeons we
had once is the closest thing we've had to that!

hello all,

i would like to introduce myself, my name is jeremy and i work in the
technology field. i also am a pretty avid gamer, most minis and board
games.

anyway, long story short:
about 3 years ago i got involved with a group of gamers in cedar rapids
known as the "eastern iowa game club" we have close to 90 members mostly
warhammer players but a large group of them play other games. currently
i help run the www.eigc.us
<http://www10.brinkster.com/hearn34266/eigc/3/default.html> website
and message board <http://p103.ezboard.com/beasterniowagameclub70251> .

if there is anything we can do to help spread the word, then by all
means let me know. ive lived here 3 years and just a few months ago was
the first time i heard of the cr-con.

i added your event to our local events listings and calendar
<http://my.calendars.net/eigcevents>

you are all , more then welcome to post messages on our site, we have
lots of room for non-warhammer gamers.

i also made a copy of your flyer but added a little something to it, if
you want a copy of it click here
<http://st.cr.k12.ia.us/staff/jcobert/crcon1.jpg> , if you want
anything changed on it just email me. it should print in B&W or color.
and its small enough to post just about anywhere.

i will see if someone can post it at battlezone games
<http://www.battlezonegames.com/> in hiawatha, you may want to see if
they have any interest in adding you to their events calander

if theres any other events you need posters or web images for, just let
me know. ive got a lot of free time at work for things like photoshop
and such.

im going to try and run an event, maybe a game of mordheim (ive got a
nice mordheim
<http://st.cr.k12.ia.us/staff/jcobert/jeremys/mywebsite/images/terrainpr\
ojects/index.html> set up), flames of war or some board games.

hope i didnt step on any toes, just trying to donate my skills to make a
local Con better.

see ya.

Don't forget, we have a mini-con planned for May 27th 2006. I have
not had the time to get out as much information as I wanted. We have
not received any GM submissions.

If this is going to happen, we need your help!

If your willing to run an RPG, board, or card game, please send a post
to the group. We need to know what you will run, and when you prefer
to run it, morning, or afternoon, and how many players (besides
yourself) the event can take.

Not sure how much pre-registration we can get in. We really need all
the GM submissions by the end of March. You don't need your event
ready to go, just need to know enough information to send us, so we
can put together an event sheet for pre-reg purposes.

We need to get up advertizing. I'll try to get a downloadable and
black and white printable flyer up on the group site soon. Please
help distribbute it... local libaries, bulletin boards, game shops,
food-store board, any place we can put one.

I just joined the list and would like to introduce myself. My name is
Bart Pisarik and I live in Marion. I play all kinds of games:
boardgames, miniatures, wargames, roleplaying, cards, etc. Lately, I
have been playing more German style boardgames, train games, and
DBM/DBA (miniatures - Ancients).

Thanks and hope to see you across the table some time.

There are some board game players in the group. We have played a couple
different board games in our mini-cons.

If you interested, I invite you to GM a board game session at our next
mini-con comming up on 5/27/06!

1 other guy who will play any time anywhere, plus i can get my "wife
to be" to play any of the light to medium weight games. i will talk to
you about it in ia city this saturday.
