Hi, I put an index file in xls format. Now here is only this part of
archive. If you have Excel you can sort it and search in.

And Steve, I'm now experimentig with index creation in OO.org, when
(and after I suceed) I'll send you this file, hm, no luck yet.

If you can find a way to improve the sites, then by all means go ahead. All I have been doing is getting the maps up as fast as possible. Being the moderator gives you the ability to improve these sites for everyones enjoyment the way you see fit. Go ahead and make whatever changes you like, and if it works, it works, if it don't, we'll change it. :)

I like the idea myself. After I get all the maps up on these sites, and I get the campaign group up, and the WoG map group Archive up and the HOMM3 utilities and other goodies stuff up, I'd like to do that. I have several maps that have been sent to me to do just that. This is not a new idea you know. Ever hear of a map called "Painted: The Misfit?" This was a pass around map. But I think we can do this. I'd like to. We could probably go ahead and start one now if you like.

Im currently creating scripts for a map idea.

what I have in mind is:

-8 empty towns (everything disabled)
-all town lvl 1 dwelling and tavern builded
-all town protected with border gates (scripted)
-all heroes have gold speciality (+350 every day)
-all players start with 1000 gold and zero resources

-the hero speciality is changed to:
lvl1-2 gold, lvl3-4 wood, lvl5-6 mercury ..... lvl15 mithril
but u still get the last resources so a lvl15 hero get
350 gold, 2 wood, 2 mercury ++++ and 1 mithril

-every resource speciality gives 1/2 of each (except gold)

-u can build new dwelling but cost resources:
lvl1&upg gold, lvl2&upg wood, lvl3&upg mercury ..... lvl15 mithril

-u can upgrade every dwelling if its already builded cost is resource

-u can increase grow rate... again resource cost

-every lvl cost its resource. so lvl2 dwelling cost only wood, and
lvl7 costs only gems. lvl8 cost only mithril. only lvl1 and lvl1upg
cost gold.

-when u build a new dwelling u can choose from different (limited)
creature types. the upgrade is ofcourse the same type. sometimes u can
upgrade 2 times (depending on creature type)

-u dont use town hall, u use town screen and the creature icons (below
town name) to build, upgrade and increase grow.

ok. that's it. I will add more features later on.
now what I need is some1 helping me out with bugs/gramma/ideas/map
making.

maybe we should make/create a map-making group. what u think?

I have 2 other maps in progress aswell.

/Robert

Hello everyone,
Has anyone experienced download limitations? I recieved a message from
one of the members saying that this has happened to him. Has anybody
else experienced this, and if so, what can be done to eliminate it?
I went to the files page and I was able to download at least 5 maps in
a row. I probably could of got more, but I figured after 5 maps it
probably would of given me more. Someone please give an answer as I
don't know much about Yahoos' download abilities.

Hi Pavel,
I agree. These things should be attached to each map. Especially Language, Map Size and number of players. A rating would not be very useful here. This would not be good on the author of the map and someone may like it even if it was only given  one star instead of five. I know, because there are some lowly rated maps that I play over and over again, and I never touch some 5 star maps.  :)
Descriptions are good, and we may add these sometime in the future.

Hi Everyone,

We have hit the big 200! This is about one tenth of maps that I have
in my collection. A little description of what is going on here
probably should be addressed. The maps that I have are generally
between the medium and the extra-large variety. I have very few small
maps, but since this is an Archive, it probably would be the wise
thing to do to add them as well. Your help n looking for more maps
and contributing your maps would be appreciated too. :)
Once this group site is filled with maps, I'll start another one to
add to where I left off. Eventually, I plan on putting up a campaign
site, since I have over 100 original campaigns in my collection.
Also, I'll start a WoG map group site as time will allow. All these
sites will be linked to each other so we can navigate between the
sites easily.
These are not my maps. These are not your maps. This is an archive.
This site will be for this generation and future generations who play
the game. That's what I intended this site to do.
So the more maps we find and put up here, the better for everyone.

Thank You all for your support here.

Thank You all for your support here.
