I'm sending out this message on the Yahoo group because I know that
some of you receive it by email and also may not check the in-game
forums often enough to know about this year's Goat Cup. This will be
the only message I post here other than to reply to others; all GC
information will be posted in-game and at www.british-legends.com on
the appropriate board.

I'm organising this year's Goat Cup which will be held throughout the
month of August. Registration is already open and will be closing in
just over a week (so get your entries in quickly!). Any wizzes who
wish to register should check the wiz channels for more information,
or contact me at goatcup@....

Mortals: the Goat Cup is a wiz tournament which has been held
sporadically over the last couple of decades. Each contestant is
given a necromancer and takes part in several rounds in which he/she
fights the other contestants. The wiz who survives all the rounds
including the final is declared the winner. You can see a list of
previous winners by reading the goatcup in the attic. Mortals are
allowed to be online during the matches, and a wiz will normally be
assigned the task of providing a commentary to anyone who shows up.
