Hi All

I will be bringing Dwarves (in case we actually get a Campaigne Game). Otherwise, also bringing my Space Wolves 40K (looking for a 400pt or 1,000pt game (just to blow the cobwebs off).

I will also bring A&A ships and EPIC Eldar / Imp Guard, looking for a small game (don't want to waste all day, say 1500 pts would do me).

I am keen to get 3 or 4 games in on a club day, not 1.35,

cheers

Henry

Hi Dayle,
I'll be there.

I am organising a couple of demos for a potential new member. Could I
use your Germans for a FoW demo?

Once I get the demos away I could go a 1500pt FoW in the arvo...

Hey Glen

I will bring 1500 pt Eldar and Speed Freak Forces and Space Wolves for 40K. Do you want to try an EPIC Game first up, see if we can get a 400pt 40K and an EPIC in in teh morning ?  I am lacking the appropriate Epic 'Order Counters' (I imagine you are as well). If you intend to make up any laminated ones I will put up my hand for a set. At the moment I get buy with my ubiquitous red/green counters that I use for everything.

I have also picked up 2 new Japanese Heavy Cruisers for A&A War at Sea (the nicest A&A models I've seen yet). Do we (the club) have any sea blue paint spare ? I think it would be good to paint up two table boards (reverse sides maybe). I will volunteer to do the painting / detailing. A&A War at Sea uses 10cm squares / grid, the easiest way is to use stick on circles or stars (preferably blue) at 10cm centres, I will look for some. How expensive is the clear lacqure finish ?

cheers

Henry

Nemesis_Issue_6

Start of Turn 5

The Lesser Powers Fight Back.
Recent events have seen
the powerful dwarf
factions to the south try
to assert dominance over
their weaker neighbours to the north. The Dwarfs of Cazaril sought to
make a push
towards the capital of Aenazghor but were repelled and lost land in a
vicious counterattack
by the Daemon Kzaachziaazk. Aenazghor continued his march to the
north but met
stiff resistance from the zealous army of Dieter. The greatest
invasion seen thus far was
attempted by King Ragnar who combined his personal force with that of
his Lieutenant
Blundel to try to tear the heart out of Warboss Gorfang's Green
Empire. While Ragnar
himself was successful, the forces of Blundel were repelled by
greenskins with a
determination rarely seen in orcs. Even more so considering Gorfang
was away asserting
his own dominance over his Chaos rivals under Lord Char to the east.
King Ka Khnum's
victories continued over the Orcs of MArthog to the east while Prince
Sha fortified his
borders against Cazaril to the west. In the North, Lord Snarby built
his powerbase further
preparing to assail the greenskins, however Squigmire readies his
army to face this threat....................

If you would like then you will have to look in the File Folder under
> General Gaming Files > Nemesis Campaign 2007
And get the Nemesis_Issue_6 it is 10 pgae PDF file.Issue 1 to 5 are
there to.

A big thankyou to Clint Savage for his time on the Nemesis News.

Have fun all.

Thanks Glen

The finish on the DBA boards is excellant, but something cheaper would do. I have just ordered some more A&A ships (I'm hooked I guess). Stick on stars are only a couple of bucks a packet (say 12-15mm accross).

cheers

sea blue paint spare ? I think it would be good to paint up two table
boards (reverse sides maybe). I will volunteer to do the painting /
detailing. A&A War at Sea uses 10cm squares / grid, the easiest way
is to use stick on circles or stars (preferably blue) at 10cm
centres, I will look for some. How expensive is the clear lacqure
finish ?

So, what version of Epic are you gents playing? I only own E40k and
E:Armageddon, and have some exposure to Netepic. Of the three, I much prefer
Armageddon.

I there boy and girls i am still around seeking fans of Napoleonic
wargaming here in Brisbane but its seem that their is not too many
that play or play in the 15mm scale.

I still have my usual army with not additional troops as of yet.

I am still using the General De Brigade rules.

Anyone that is still interested in learning these rules please
contact me. i feel that a napoleonic addtion to the club would be
great and i an happy to be the organizer/manager to free up Glen so
that the rest of the club can receive his attention.

So i said earlier anyone interested please let me know and i will be
at the next meet on the 9th of September 2007 with some new
scenarios for those interested.

I have tried before to get some interest at the club but i am having
a hard job getting the numbers.

Anyone?

HI,
I think there is some resurgence in interest in Napoleonic games.
Glen and I have been discussing General de Brigade. If I am correct
Glen and I have going to try to have a run through the rules in a
trial game next month (all being well)
So I would say there is some interets and the more we can get
involved the merrier.
I have the makings of a British Waterloo era army and have been
basing to suit GdBde.

See you next month

Hi Glen,
Looks like you have created some interest in Naploeon!
Did you do a head count of your troops? Are there any potential
deserters? I was just thinking about putting an order in either
overseas or local to fill out some of my units but will wait to see
you want to discard any of your guys.

Cheers

Hi Mark
I've been looking at the GdeB rules. As written, they are pretty heavy on figures: around 30 figs per Infantry Bn giving about 100 figs per Bde.
Glen, perhaps you could do a roll call so we can get an idea what we would need to assemble to get a reasonable-sized multi-player game going.
It might be worth settling on a location/period for French opponents so as to maximize compatibility of forces?
Cheers
Robert

You are right Robert,
I was concerned about that myself when I saw the rules. That was
part of waht I was doing the other weekend when I was mucking around
with Glen's figures. I was trying to see what the basing and troop
numbers looked like. Glen and I decided to give it a go and see if
the look and feel was waht we wanted. So we plan to work with what
we have at the moment to give it a shot and see if it suits us.

Cheers
Mark
